perfect location, frendly staff, clean and budget friendly

The hotel is situated in front of the Vatican Museum and is well connected by public transport to all other tourist attractions. The metro station is just a short walk away making it easier to navigate the city. The staff are super friendly and always around to help out and give information on whatever you need including information on monuments and directions as well as recommendations on where to eat. Breakfast is included and offers fresh pastries as well as other options. The terrace has a cute seating area with a wonderful view of the city which can also be seen from some of the rooms facing that side of the building. The hotel was clean and also surprisingly provided parking which is very important if you are bringing your car to Rome as parking in general, can otherwise be difficult. All in all the stay was very pleasant and the hotel and staff had a cozy and friendly vibe. I would definetley recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Rome.

Perfect home from home for our budget

Reviewed 2 january, 2020

We stayed at Domus Getsemani for 20 nights. We wanted accommodation which met our shoestring budget, was safe, secure and with our own bathroom. Domus Getsemani tucked all the boxes! We don't have "champagne tastes on a beer budget" and we were not looking for fancy as we don't have a fancy budget, we're not paying fancy prices and nor do we have ridiculous expectations. We were comfortable, warm, enjoyed the location which was in easy walking distances of the metro and buses, a busy area nearby with great eating places. Gabriel and Pattrizio are friendly, very helpful and accommodating and we enjoyed our time there immensely.

A very safe, secure stay with a nice room in perfect location.

I loved my stay at Domus Getsemani. I laughed so hard reading the negative reviews here on Trip Advisor. At 48 bucks a night during high season, were you expecting the Ritz Carlson. Get over yourselves! My room was neat and clean and I even had a balcony. It's true that breakfast is of the "croissant and coffee" variety, but at least it's free, as advertised. And it's just a five minute walk to the Vatican Museums. The people who wrote negative reviews here are spoiled, delusionsal elitists. Again, get over yourselves!

Rude staff

I was very disappointed by this place. Tiny single bunks. The breakfast is actually sweets from a vending machine. I have diabetes and this won't do. I would recommend everyone stay away from here. Spend a little more and get something better . This is kind of like a hostel

Bad rooms

Reviewed 29 april, 2019

Been here for 6 days, the staff was very friendly, but the room was quite bad, you are having tile in all the room, not even an carpet or something, which it makes very cold for your feet, I asked for an double bed and I got two single beds together and during the night was an nightmare to sleep together with my girlfriend as I was falling in the gap between the mattresses, the breakfast, come on that is not an breakfast when you have to choose one snack and one drink from an vending machine in the morning, really.
