Room for couple
Breakfast were quite bad. Everything was sweet and not best quality. There were not a lot of options to choose. Bathroom was not clean. Service do not clean rooms everyday and they do not change towels. Room was big enough and bed was comfortable. Air condition has only cold options :(
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!
We arrived on Tuesday 23rd April and were given the key to our room. We opened the door to be met with the darkest dingiest room I had ever seen. An inspection of the bathroom revealed a tiny space with a the tiniest shower you could hardly get in it. The screen has obviously not been cleaned in a very long time as it was covered in white scum which would not come off unless scraped. The walls were covered in panels of dark red material straight out of the Middle Ages! The furnishings were dark too and even in daylight the room was extremely dark. There was thick dust over all the surfaces and the bathroom wasn’t even clean. Our bed has not been made on any single day so far. There is a tiny kitchen with a sink, job and fridge but the utensils were sadly lacking. There were only 3 forks one teaspoon and a ladle all greasy and the ladle had baked in food on it(see pic). The dishes were mismatched and also dirty and greasy. Not at all what you would expect from a reputable hotel. The bed was two singles pushed together and only had a sheet on it. One mattress was higher than the other. The view from the room was out into a narrow side street which was dark. Our towels were not changed for the whole week. I do not think there was anybody in to do anything in the room for the whole week as it was as we left it every day. Definitely will never come here again and would strongly advise against booking this hotel. I have included photos which shows the room etc in my review.
Don’t go!! Bad bad bad
One of my worsts experiences ever: -Old room -Dirty room -Dirty and broken bathroom -“Small Kitchen” inside the room almost falling down -While inside the room you can listen other people having shower (and so on) next room. -3 days without clean the room -Really bad Wifi Connection, not even to do the flight check-in
Never again
Stayed in room 208. Walked in Carlito checked is in quickly wished us well and is an extremely pleasant Receptionist. That's where it stopped. Elevator didn't work, the floor in the room had not been swept bits on our feet. Curtain was falling down, shutter wouldn't stay up so we was in complete darkness for five days. Bathroom shower leaks all over the bathroom floor, bathroom was filthy as was the rest of the room. Cutlery and glasses and cups in the cupboard had lipstick and scum marks all over them. Bed was comfortable though, could sleep as mentioned before it is in a quiet residential area. Our room wasn't cleaned in those five days nor was the towels changed. We had to use the towels to soak up all the water Cong from the shower! This room is tiny, I mean tiny tiny. Can barely fit in the shower at all. That bathroom was filthy dirty, I wish I could upload his pictures I took but for some reason I can't using my phone. The way into Rome is a tram number 8 and a bus H which can be found at the bottom of viable quanto vetri on the right and walk down, the train station is on the left. Tram takes you to Palazzo Venezia and the bus takes you to termini station.Dont pay for this room, get another one here as it seems that some who pay extra for their room get the service required for a great stay. Unfortunately we didn't. If you do come here and they give you this room, change it immediately, it truly is not good. We aren't complainers, but if you run a hotel, you should know the basics and be on top of every little detail. I was terribly dissatisfied and disappointed. I hope it improves as the reception staff are lovely people and are too good for the hotel.
Great little hotel
My wife and I stayed here this summer. The hotel is located outside the tourist area of central Rome and as such it was cheaper to stay here. It is in a quiet residential area. We found the hotel to be a great base for exploring Rome. It is a short 10 min stroll from the tram stop and from there only 15 mins on the tram to virtually the centre of Rome. The hotel was clean and our rooms were cleaned every day. There was always an English speaking person on the front desk 24 hours a day and they were always very helpful and friendly and advising us what to do and where to go if we asked. We had booked a room only but we were able to purchase a good breakfast in the dining room each day if we wished for 4 Euros which I thought was very reasonable. The room we had didn't have kitchen facilities ( I'm not sure whether this applies to the other rooms ) but it did have a mini fridge which we found very useful. We were able to purchase some cheap plastic cutlery from a shop and buy some milk / breakfast provisions and eat in our room each morning if we were in a rush and didn't have time for the dining room so the fridge was a real bonus for us. There is also a room with a room where you can leave your luggage on your last day if you have had to vacate your own room. Five minutes walk up the road was the local railway station which was only one stop / 5 minutes from the Vatican so in combination with the local tram stop down the road this hotel is very well placed for getting about Rome easily. Using public transport in Rome is really easy. On our first morning we took a 15 min stroll down to Trastevere railway station ( passing our normal tram stop ) where we each bought a weekly transport ticket that allowed us unlimited use for a week on the trams, buses and LOCAL railway service. A word on visiting Rome - plan your sightseeing itinery in advance and purchase / print out your entrance tickets before you go. Although we still had to queue a little bit in some places we missed out a lot of the really big queues. We were even able to book advance tickets for the fast train down to Naples at just after 9.00 and visit Pompeii one day. We were able to spend 7 hours in Pompeii and that amount of time is needed if you want to see / read everything!b In summary this is a nice hotel in a nice enough location - well placed for transport. It is clean, the rooms are comfortable and shower / toilet facilities were good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the price very good for Rome. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
