Howard Johnson Inn Rosario De La Frontera

My husband and I were travelling back from northern Argentina and needed to make a few one-night stops. This hotel had the perfect location off the highway and surprisingly it was very quiet because of the set up of the rooms at the back of the hotel lobby. The grounds were nice and would be good for a family. The hotel staff were nice and pleasant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was OK, as described. And you could park very close to your room. If needed, we would stay there again. The only thing that bothered me was the lingering smell from the time when smoking was allowed in the room. The room is carpeted and you can never get rid of the smell. After being in the room for a while, you got used to it and it certainly didn't disrupt my sleep.

We decided to stay in this hotel to break up the journey in a trip going north to south. We will not make the same mistake again. The hotel tries to recreate a staple of north american tourism: the hotel by the highway to stop off during long trips. Unfortunately it is a long way from meeting the standards of the US or Canada. Although the staff was nice enough and the rooms decent, the hotel is in dire need of a face lift. In the rooms, the showers were barely functional and had no hot water. The restaurant food was awful and they brought us rancid orange juice (which they did replace). At breakfast however, both the juice and fruit salad were also rancid. The pool was unusable because of a large group of teens partying there all afternoon (they were not guests of the hotel) which did not matter much since the water was very dirty. The only positive note was when we indulged in a very competent massage given by an employee of the nearby spas. Overall, this was a mess and we couldn't wait to leave.

Fue bueno. Pero para la cadena de hoteles y lo que cobran.... Solo una noche nos quedamos era de paso, pero no andaba el frigo bar cuando hicimos el pedido de arreglo no nos solucionaron nada y hacia calor. Era domingo, quizá se complicaba x eso. las habitaciones bien amplias, las camas super cómodas, ventanales grandes, plaza de juego para niños (algunos rotos). TV en ambas habitaciones y el baño con hidromasaje funcionaba bien. Ropa Blanca excelente. Pileta externa vacía. El desayuno era basico.

Evidentemente conoció tiempos mejores, las habitaciones no son malas pero están descuidadas, el baño sucio, la atención lamentable. Y qué decir del Restaurant que cuenta con 3 botellas de vino y dos opciones de comida. Tristísimo todo.
