Disappointing…

With its designation as “Tapestry Collection” Hilton Property, as well as the “Traveler’s Choice” designation, the Mrs. and I were hoping for something a little special during our one evening layover stay. We were disappointed, to say the least. Room? Expertly photographed, as it was MUCH smaller than expected. As soon as I walked into the door, I recognized everything I’d seen in the photos and als recognized how those photos were deceiving (not shop the narrow gap between the edge of the bed and the edge of the built-in sitting area attached to the wall, for example). The bed? Soft, uncomfortable. Not at all what you’d expect from an upscale property. Service? Inexperienced, disinterested. Not rude, mine you – just more of a “McDonald’s” vibe than what I was expecting. Plus, no one to help with bags, on entry or check out. The biggest frustration though…? To me, if you are going to be an Airport Hotel property (and they brag about their proximity to O’Hare), then you are, by definition, a BUSINESS hotel. Then if you are a BUSINESS hotel, you should then of course have room safes for guests to store their laptops. I mean, it has been perhaps a DECADE since I was at a hotel that did not have a room safe for laptops, jewelry, etc. No room safe here. Moreover, the inexperienced hotel front desk staff seemed to not know what I was talking about when I inquired, both on the phone and at the front desk itself. I mean, REALLY Rose Hotel?? Ok, ok, let’s pretend you aren’t a business hotel. You are still an airport hotel, right? An airport hotel located next door to one of the busiest international airports in the world, with travelers from all points near and far. You don’t think those guests would like someplace safe to keep their passports? I see the rates have dropped considerably from what we paid, and that the property is now claiming to be “three star”, versus the “four star” I remember. At rates below $150/night, along with a “three star” designation, I’d say the Rose Hotel is perhaps now correctly categorized. Just be aware that this place only has two redeeming qualities: it is new and clean, and it has good shower water pressure. That’s it. You have been advised. Set your expectations accordingly (NOT a luxury property by any stretch of the imagination)

Stayed here before flying out of O'Hair in the morning. What a beautiful hotel!!! The ambiance is terrific!! We had dinner which exceeded both of our expectations, and the live music in the bar/lobby area was great! The bartenders were amazing, Juan was excellent to talk to and provided us with some of the best service and hospitality that I've ever experienced! The ladies at the front desk promptly assisted me in my quest to find ice and were incredibly friendly and polite as well!! I will be staying here every time I fly out of O'Hair from now on, 10 out of 10!!

Excellent! First time here. There is a Starbucks and a bar downstairs. Hotel was quiet even though it’s close to the airport. Decently clean public areas. Room was very nice, clean and the bed was awesome. Bathroom was very nice as well and clean. Modern room and bathroom and hot water. Nice gym area to work out as well. Shuttle to and from the airport but would not take us to Signature. Great stay. Thanks!

We stayed here on July 29, 2022, checking out on August 1st, 2022. We have stayed here before and they never disappoint. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. They go above and beyond. About a week after we returned home, I noticed I was missing a pair of dress shoes. I called The Rose and they confirmed they had my shoes. They shipped them back to me (at my cost) promptly. We give this hotel our highest rating and recommendation.

Pretty hotel, nice rooms and excellent restaurant. Really loved the pesto flatbread and burrata appetizer (see photos), enjoyed the poke bowl too! Traffic at O’Hare was packed for the holidays so the shuttle was slow. However, the staff was incredibly kind and made it up to us.
