More about the hotel
Nice hotel but not so well organised
Good hotel with pool and spa. Beds were nice and soft and rooms are very nice. The big frustration I had is how they are operating during the pandemic and the standard of the food. There was very little effort by staff and the hotel to keep distance when dining /having breakfast. The breakfast buffet in the morning was shocking... Hoards of guests crowding into the buffet area all sharing the same utensils on an open buffet area. Some didn't even bother with the face masks with no intervention from staff who just casually walked past them. Putting that issue to one side, the dinner was also disappointing.. 29 euros got me a "Philly cheese steak" which had no cheese and was merely some sliced steak and onions on a thick chunky ciabatta which sucked it any flavour.. I think this place has a lot of potential but during our visit seemed more concerned with fast food and packing in the guests rather than safety and satisfaction.
Definitely overpriced for an average hotel
Pictures on the hotel booking sites are nice for this place, reality is slightly different. I got a room which needed more than a make-over. Over-heated, but opening the window was an adventure during the night, since the nearby main road is very busy and noisy. The matress in the bed was awful.... not for sensitive sleepers. The restaurant is kind of strange, no natural light, but reddish light arrangements make the place feel strange, especially during breakfast. I will probably not return here ... Parking space (9€) and breakfast (18 €) are overpriced as well. The scrambled egg is powder-based ...
Decent stay
Positive points: - 98 places parking lot; - free swimming pool & spa for guests; Negative points: - The hotel is 25 years old. Some furniture looks worn out. - Poor soundproofing; FYI: cup of coffee - 2,5 EURO hot chocolate - 2,3 EURO
Nice hotel with wellness
We bought a package deal which included a dinner (which was delicious - and the service was very good) and use of the wellness area. Unfortunately wellness was closed on the first day we arrived and partially another day, which was upsetting. The room was OK - I think there are bigger, nicer rooms there than the one we had. It is outside of town but it is walkable or there's a bus nearby. The breakfast buffet was OK but I wouldn't pay a lot for it if it wasn't included.
Days of work in Rostock
A first class hotel with excellent service. Spacious rooms, the staff is friendly. Really superb atmosphere, you can relax after a long day either in the spa or bar. The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional. A visit to this gem is highly recommended.
