Value, but needs renovation

Reviews should reflect facts and convert meaningful information. Here goes. You only get one chance to make a first impression. From the outside, we got a favorable impression. Clean, well kept, well lit, attractive convenient location, across the street from what appears to be a new Cumberland Farms convenience store/has station. Upon entry, nice lobby, clean well lit. Reception person pleasant enough and business like but not super welcoming. Efficient check-in. We checked in at night and noticed the breakfast area adjacent. It looked clean and well set up. When we experienced it the next morning, it was, indeed, clean and well set up. A typical continental breakfast... Breads, pre made waffles, juice, coffee. Not substantial, but as advertised. When we left the lobby, the doors to the hallways lacked hardware. A strange element. When we opened the door, WOW... The carpet in the hallways was filthy and worn. We took the wrong hallway, so we walked a bit more than we had to. So we saw more of the hotel than we otherwise might have. All the carpets in similar poor shape. We booked a non smoking room... The wing we were in was thick with smoke... Not a good sign. After waking the first floor, we found the stairs to the second floor. What? No elevator? No. The stairs were similarly shabby and smoky. Walked second floor to another wing door. Upon opening that door, the smoke was gone. We are guessing they have separate smoking and non smoking wings...a significant relief. Upon getting to our room, yes... Non smoking indeed. A good sign. About the room. Small, but we are just sleeping here, not living here. Carpet... Apparently vacuumed, but shabby... Did not inspire wanting to walk barefoot Plenty of well located power outlets. A nice window element incorporating the heat/A/C unit, a shelf for suitcase or such, and built in drawers...a nice touch. Our room was in the back of the complex and overlooked the back drive and abutted what appears to be a residential neighborhood, so quiet and peaceful. No neighborhood noise. Bed is king size. A hard but comfortable mattress. The sheets were ok, but olds and worn. The end corner was ripped and it didn't seem to fit the bed; or it shrunk. It's been said in other reviews that the fridge is too high. Yes, it is. Clearly when this was built, fridges were not in the room. Most likely a 32" old big tv. Now, a walk mounted tv so the side is fort the fridge. Small desk with coffee maker. Finally, overall impression...a decent value but would be a GREAT place if they do a renovation and upgrade some of the way outdated and worn elements.
In need of a total rehab!

I would give this property no stars if it wasn’t for the staff that was there that evening. They were exceptional in customer service and really seem to care. They deserve a cleaner and nicer hotel to work in. It was incredibly run down, inside and out. It was so bad that we wouldn’t even dare put our bare feet on the carpet. One of the first things I saw was a bug crawl up my roomates bed, I didn’t dare tell her she would of freaked. If we hadn’t been so tired from a long day of driving, we would have not stayed here.
Super 8 was Super GREAT!!!

My puppy Brady and I had a wonderful week long stay at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. I cannot thank Sharon, Patricia and the front desk staff for making our stay so super special! They welcomed us with open arms, loved Brady to pieces and made us feel like family! Our room was also great! Super clean, well appointed and the air conditioning was AMAZING! Cannot thank everyone enough! Look forward to seeing everyone again and staying with you again very soon! XOXO
Smallest motel room we ever stayed at!

Cons: My husband and I and our adult son stayed in the same room. The room is so small! The double beds really didn't seem like doubles! We had to turn in unison during the night. I'm 5'3" and couldn't reach the fridge; had to get one of "my men" to get me a bottle of water. The room was dusty; and we there were only 2 towels in the room. The driveway in and out is full of pot holes so go slow! No elevator and the hallways were dingy -- Pros: The price! The staff was nice when we asked for more towels; even though some of the reviews I read said it was noisy, we didn't hear any noise during the night at all.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

First and foremost, my room was dusty, had flies and the sink was leaking. Upon checkout the manager Dominic Ip was extremely disrespectful, he accused me of something I didn’t do and proceeded to scream in my face. This made me so uncomfortable that I called the cops. This man should be fired because he clearly does not know how to handle himself in a position of power. I even called Super 8 customer service and the first representative hung up on me while I was explaining the situation. Since then I have reported this branch to the better business bureau because I was absolutely disgusted by my experience at this hotel. I will never stay at any Wyndham location again.
