Our trip to Hotel Katarina was very good. The island is beautiful and has so much to offer with plenty of lovely beaches and a large swimming pool. As well as this there is also a great outdoor bar which overlooks marina. Our room was clean and had most things we needed, apart from an iron or ironing board. Additionally, some aspects of the room were a bit outdated compared to the bathroom, however, this was not a problem. Staff and services were also very good and very efficient. The boats too and from the town ran on time and allowed easy access to Rovinj throughout the day. Breakfast at the hotel was also very good, with a large range of choice and plenty of freshly cooked food. We only had tea there once but it was also done to a very good standard with a wide variety of food. Overall, a great hotel and would definitely visit again.
A truly magnificent place!!

I come to Hotel Katarina for my summer holidays each year since 2013 as it's a truly unique place!! It features a great combination of elements which make your summer stay just perfect: located on a small island, 5 minutes by boat from the Rovinj city centre, all covered by the old green park, surrounded by the views, scents and sounds of the sea with many beaches which are never too crowded and on top of this - a magic historical atmosphere of a 19-century mansion of the Polish aristocrat - count Milewsky!! Where else could you enjoy staying at the historical place surrounded by the marvelous nature at a rather affordable price? This place is for those who value a quality escape from the noise of contemporary big cities and a quiet contemplation by the sea. Though, if you are suddenly up for some "going out", the city is just 5 minutes from you by a regular and free boat connection!! Katarina's key staff members are exceptional people: friendly, welcoming and always super helpful. There is nothing impossible for them where it goes about the comfort of their guests!! I call this hotel and it's staff "my Croatian family" and it's just so comforting to come back here each year to immerse in this beauty and serenity, especially in the current turbulent times. Shortly, it's just pure LOVE :)
Few nice days in quiet atmosphere

We were here for 4 days (weekend) as family, Hotel is on small island connected with free boat every hour, very quiet (except seagull, but it is nature), rooms are small but clean, visible that it is old Hotel with old standard, breakfast and dinner were OK and free activity I recommend archery under the three and pool with Jacuzzi (not working all day). Price is moderate to high. Recommend to spend few days for vacation and tours to local places. Parking is organized in city and it is free with shuttle. I will probably visit this place once again.

Location are excellent. Travelling from the main land with a ferry to the Hotel is for free. Love the setting of the place with a view from the Hotel to the old town. For families with children in summer time the pool side and entertainment they provide every day are worth while a visit. Best views 2nd floor and higher over the ocean with a balcony is 5* Rooms are very spacious and clean.
romantic, relaxing place to stay

this hotel is located on an island that is as much as an attraction as old town rovinj. a ferry runs regularly to take you to rovinj, and it is important to consider whether you would rather be on the mainland or on this sleepy little island. for a short stay, i think the island hotel is good choice. the only thing that was a little troubling were the bugs in our september visit. but, aside from that, i enjoyed being on the island! there were nice walking paths, a gorgeous pool, a nice restaurant, relaxing chairs on lawns or on the many tucked away little beaches. we were traveling as a couple, but i think this place is ideal for families!
