More about the hotel
Great stay
I visited here with my friend for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it - I would definitely return. Checkin was slightly annoying and took longer than I would have liked! It’s self service whereby you’re given an iPad to check yourself in. After several attempts and the iPad defaulting to another language, the receptionist very kindly offered to carry out the process for us....... he was aware that the app defaults to a different language on English!!!! We then asked if we could upgrade to a star plus- whatever it called....... however we could only do this if we took a suite with no sea view. I asked if we could upgrade and keep our sea view and just pay extra. This was met with a no! I’m surprised at this, as the hotel was by no means full - I was going to upgrade to the suite, but then I was asked to wait even longer for another receptionist to deal with the upgrade. After 30mins of trying to check in - I couldn’t be bothered to wait! The rooms are really well furnished and very clean and have everything you need. I wish they stocked the fridge with water though. My friend was ill one day so I went down to the bar to ask for a water and was told that the bar doesn’t open until 10.30am - there weren’t any other bars open. It would have been nice to have some in the fridge. You have a certain expectation when you book an all inclusive that the food will be edible- but you probably know that you will have to dine out at least a few nights to get away from the recycled food offerings that you get from an all inclusive. Not here! Freshly grilled fish, sirloins, lamb chops - not a stew in sight! There is however a lot of pork, which I don’t eat. But there is always something to eat. The breakfast is great everything from a full English, continental, waffles, crepes, churros, meats, cheeses - everything! The drinks are fabulous and they don’t palm you off with cheap drinks - I loved their Aperol Spritz! The staff are really great and so warm and friendly. It’s a very good adult only resort with keep fit, a gym - that, despite bringing my gym gear - never made it!!!!! The hotel is in a quiet secluded place, near Niki Beach - when it’s open and convenient for Santa Eularlia and Escana. A fantastic holiday that felt Covid safe.
Lovely hotel and great staff, super value.
A group of us stayed here for 4 nights and the experience was much better than expected, so much so that we extended our stay for a further 3 nights! We had the all inclusive package and the buffet food excellent, a good variety and good quality everyday. The star prestige benefits from the roof top pool and a self service mini bar. Location is chilled and has some lovely beach walks. The hotel is around a 20+ minute drive from any main clubs so i wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a party holiday. The only negative we found were the drinks on the roof terrace, most spirit bottles had their spouts removed and the bottles looked reused, so maybe filling them with cheaper spirits? Which is a bit of a let down if they are. Also no toilet anywhere on the roof terrace and none nearby so it's either a trip back to your room or to the ground floor to go to the toilet which becomes a bit tedious. Overall a great stay and will return in the future.
Great four night solo stay
After a trip away with friends in Ibiza I chose to stay at Iberostar for an extra four nights for a mix of work and relaxation. The staff were all so friendly, incredibly helpful and were very kind to check in with me during my stay to check all was OK. The hotel is right on a gorgeous coastal path which I walked each morning, for me this was a big perk. Additionally there was a decent fitness centre on site. I stayed half board. If travelling with someone else i'd want to mix it up a bit and eat outside of the hotel but for four nights, the half board option made my stay super easy and I thought the buffet selection was great for both breakfast and dinner. There was also a 'cook to order' area where you could ask for fried eggs or omelette and in the evening fresh fish was cooked here. Hand sanitiser dispensers were in all the key places - stairs, elevators, before entering the buffet area and as leaving. The staff did an excellent job of hygiene and ensuring guest safety during Covid. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Totally overpriced and misleading
Super overpriced. I really would not stay here again if I was on the east coast. Yes the pictures make it look good but they are totally misleading. We booked for two nights, half board not Star Prestige. When we arrived we were offered to upgrade to Star Prestige (SP) for 70 euros per night. We decided not to and went to our rooms which really were quite pokey. The fridge was broken and the safe seemed broken too so called reception and apparently you need to pay 3 euros to make it work! Could have told us in reception. After a lot of consideration decided to upgrade as our friends were in SP - unless you are going to be boozing all day long (there are spirits, wine, fizz and beer, and some really awful snacks like mayo cucmber sandwiches) it’s absolutely not worth the upgrade. You are paying just to be on the rooftop pool which is pretty but not for the pricetag. If you are SP you still have to pay for the sunloungers out by the sea, 10 euros for an afternoon so I’m guessing 20 euros for the whole day and when you eat downstairs or in the restaurant you have to pay for drinks. It’s absolutely not worth getting SP if you come here – the privilege seems to only exist on the rooftop and then you have to pay extra for everything else in the hotel. Next the restaurant – if there’s one thing it’s lacking it’s ambience. Almost like a school/office canteen. Total bright lights, no music and a buffet of half warm food. I would highly recommend you do not get dinner included, what are they thinking. Just dim lighting would improve it vastly. We went to Brisa de la Mar, just walk along the beach for 5 mins which was a beautiful tapas restaurant. Very pretty backdrop and lovely location but that’s where it ends. Very disappointed.
Brilliant Hotel and a Great stay!
We stayed here in July, the first holiday since lockdown. We had a great stay - the staff are very welcoming and work very hard (even with masks on all day in that heat) We stayed all inclusive and booked through JET2 which was also a great experience. The hotel is lovely, perfect for couples, lovely modern room and bathroom, great pool area which was was perfect sitting around all day. I saw reviews on here regarding rooms facing the front of the hotel weren’t that great, but actually we didn’t mind it at all! It was quiet and we weren’t bothered about having a view, you could still see the sea so it wasn’t a problem for us! The food was brilliant, I always worry about eating at the hotel every night and the thought of the food being the same each night, but here there was a huge variety, very fresh, lots of fresh fish and meats cooked in front of you. All very clean and at the moment they serve you your food. All inclusive drink selection was better than most hotels! We really liked the location (about 5 minutes or so in a taxi to Santa Eulalia), there’s a great walk to the left of the hotel along the beach and if you keep going to reach the edge of the cliffs which was stunning. We also came across a little hippie bar on the beach which plays live music and was a great little spot. Ask reception about the Catamaran trip to Formentera- they recommended it to us and it was a great day - a must see! Most beautiful beaches in the world and crystal blue waters. Overall a great stay and a wonderful holiday, we almost forgot what was going on in the world right now, we would definitely recommend and visit again!
