This Inn is very clean, comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay there. Beds are so comfy. we had Great Sleeps For reservations I recommend calling the Red Lion directly, then your sure of getting what you want. The rooms where perfect, had everything we could want. Great TV and Wi-Fi. I felt totally safe in parking lot by myself.

I tried to make a reservation with the Red Lion Inn in Victoria and after viewing the site on line I called the property directly to make sure I could get a handicapped room for my wife is in a wheelchair. He first stated that he was very busy and said "could you hurry up", and then stated that the room I reserved was not a handicapped room and that I would have to get a suite if I wanted a handicapped room. Then I asked him if any rooms had a walk in shower. Since I had viewed one n the website. He said he had no rooms with walk in showers and had never had any. At that point I told him I was looking at one on the website. At this point he started to raise his voice and became very indignant towards me stating he was the manager for 15 years and that I was wrong. Effectively calling me a liar. At that moment I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me. I asked again. Again he refused. I stated I was going to notify corporate. Again he refused. All the while yelling at me over the phone. Finally after the eighth attempt to get his name did he yell Chris over the phone and I finalized the phone call. I am very disappointed in not only the kind of service I received, but also I felt very violated by the way I was treated over the phone. If this is the kind of service I can expect then I will never stay at any of your establishments ever again. I will also give you a very negative review in every platform available. I will also have to report this to the disabilities magistrate in the corresponding jurisdiction. I am very disappointed with this transaction and for the way I was treated by an employee from your organization. I only hope that you will respond to this message and effectively train your employees real customer service and how to speak to a perspective client over the phone. So in the future someone else does not have to endure that kind of treatment. I am very upset and disappointed. Sincerely, Marshell Osborne

We had a great trip. The suite was massive and very nice. Perfectly clean. The tv was massive. The bed was comfortable. Shower was good and bath tub had jets (which was a nice surprise). There really wasn’t anything bad to say about the hotel. The only thing I would advise against is going to the restaurant. The food was terrible, took an hour to cook and their service was terrible too.

Really appreciated the kitchenette with the microwave, fridge, 2 burners, kettle, toaster, soap detergent, dish rack, utensils, cookware, plates, bowls. Good price for 2 beds, drawers, flatscreen TV, bathroom. To make any future stays even better, I would suggest putting a grab bar at an angle above the bathtub for people taking showers to grab onto...turning the mattresses on the beds every so often (half my mattress was soft and lumpy while the other half was firm)...have thicker iron covers or at least triple them up as the capris I was ironing imprinted the holes in the metal ironing board!!...offer paper towels (can be the cheap brown ones you can rip off in a box) in the kitchenette.

This Hotel is very close walking Distance to Uptown Mall and fast food restaurants 5min walk (saanich rd) or just past the shell station across Douglas st. Dennys 1blk away. Trek Bicycle Rentals is a 35min walk South on the bike GG path and I highly recommend it (ask for Troy) rates a lot cheaper than downtown. Good bikes. The Pool really needs a reno (fresh paint etc) , it may be clean but by the look of it I didn't even try it. The water looked slightly green with possible algae. The front desk staff were excellent and helpful to us and its a clean hotel just older .
