Excuse the dust. The work will be done soon!

I am writing this review in hopes of helping anyone looking at staying here in the near future and keeping them from feeling the same panic I experienced when I read all the recent negative reviews. Yes, this hotel is undergoing a remodel. Yes, it is an older location and does have that old building smell to it. The employees here have been nothing but gracious and welcoming. I am in the Arden wing on the 3rd floor. The room is newly refurbished and is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The parking lot is a little bit of a mess right now with the containers for the remodeling, but it's nothing that would be an issue. I can not speak to the fitness center as I have not had time to go there, and the pool is closed for the season. I grabbed a drink and dessert and the bar. Very nice wait staff and comfortable surroundings. This place is very conveniently located for additional food and shopping. If you are looking at staying here and don't mind the dust, it's not horrible. I travel a lot for work and I've definitely seen worse. This place will be great once the remodeling is completed!

2nd bad experience with Hilton hotels
Reviewed 27 february, 2023
We were referred to this hotel by a different Hilton hotel and we had told them our main thing was to have use of a hot tub. So they referred us over to here. We stayed for one night come to find out the hotel is under renovations so a lot of the wings were closed because of it and not only that I couldn’t upgrade and the pool and hot tub were closed due to the renovations that was a really disappointment for us and their beds are horrible. Me and my boyfriend woke up this morning with a sore back sore shoulders and I’m still hurting because the bed was that uncomfortable, so we were not happy that we were not told about the hotel, being under renovations at that time and our main thing was a hot tub and come to find out we could not even use that, and then the beds.. this is the second time we have had a problem with the Hilton hotels

Outdated and overpriced.

It’s been years since I’ve been to or stayed at Doubletree Hotel but I had to book a one-night stay due to a severe rainstorm that knocked out power and services in my area. As a result, I had to book a room as temperatures dip into the 30’s and surviving on no power, heat, or hot water was something I couldn’t suffer through a second night. Being anemic and in cold weather does not mix at all. I needed to stay close to the area and not spend too much time searching for a hotel, so I came to Doubletree. The cost for a room per night, let alone one night is not worth it in my opinion ($153 base/$233.30 total w/taxes and fees) Granted, I know the hotel is going through renovations but the rooms are old and outdated; and don’t even get me started on the super old thermostat. I’m not sure if it’s just this specific location or if it’s the chain of hotels that are like this but for the price they charge and the old furniture that furnishes the rooms is disappointing. The beds don’t really have any solid comforters or blankets, especially in the winter season. Driving to your building can be a little confusing because you’re sort of fighting your way through tons of shipping containers and materials due to building renovations. It feels like a rat maze. I’m not sure I’ll choose to stay here in the future but hopefully hotel improvements are made over time.

Do NOT stay here

Whatever you do do NOT stay here! There isn’t one good thing to say about it. Horrible rooms! Conrad Hilton would never want his name associated with this property. Terrible housekeeping rooms that should never be presented in this way. Absolutely the worst!

Not Exemplary of a Hilton HORRIBLE!!!

I must say, this DoubleTree by Hilton is most likely one of the worst hotels that I have frequented. This hotel is not exemplary of the Hilton Brand at all. If I had the time, I would have switched hotels immediately upon coming into the room, however, my schedule didn't permit. This Hilton should not be priced as such. In addition, the notice of renovations does not state that the lodging would not be Hilton quality. Although there are renovations happening at the hotel, there are some rooms that should be taken off of the inventory of rooms. I stayed in room 4121 and there were several issues with the room cosmetically. First off, the wallpaper is coming off of the wall in several areas, there were what seemed to be water stains all over the ceiling, and many of the fixtures were rusted. The linens on the bed weren't even white. They were obviously old due to the dingy look of them. The drapes were had visible holes in the at waist level as well. They were grayish looking. While staying in the room I couldn't figure out why my eyes were burning, and I kept sneezing because I don't have allergies. Whenever I departed the room, the sneezing and burning would stop. Upon my last morning in the room (checkout day), on my way into the shower I noticed the air filter cabin was filled with dust. I mean the dust was compacted on the filter and the intake vent. Each morning I woke up with puffy burning eyes. In addition, the bathroom was not supplied with a slip mat in the shower nor did the bathtub floor have slip grip on it. Needless to say, I almost fell several times in the shower. I requested a slip mat on the first day and it was never delivered. In addition, the bar should just be closed due to the renovations. There was no heat in the area during the entire stay and basic spirits such as vodka were not available. The bartender opened one bottle and the smell was horrible. we both assumed that the bottle had been at the bar for some time. Awful! I have pictures!
