We stayed at Hotel Siru/Progress Hotel over the weekend Sept 10th - 12th. Right from arrival the staff could not have been nicer at the front desk. We were all given early check-ins at 11am and all put in Hotel Progress, the 4* hotel that is part of the complex due to Covid rules. Later on as we went to head out it started to rain and the Front desk man went searching for umbrellas for us. On returning before heading out for early evening I had broken my cheap travel reading glasses. The new man at Reception took them and tried to tape & glue them together for me ! When this didn't work he looked in "Lost & Found" and got me a pair which he sterilized and gave to me. These glasses got me through the weekend ! Every time we went by Reception the staff said hello and had a chat, they could have not have been nicer. My room (single) had a huge King Bed and everything I needed including a fridge for Belgian beer ! It was excellent value. Overall, the service by the Team was unbelievable and above and beyond, I recommend staying here as its a great location beside Gare Du Nord & the Metro, and just a straight 14 min walk down to the Grand Place. Overall Brussels & day trip to Bruges was a superb weekend and thoroughly recommend staying with Team Siru/Progress !!
Not a place to stay if you are working

I had a weeks work in Brussels which I saw there was a very favourable rate for accommodation at the Hotel Siru. To start I will say the location to the Nord train station, city centre and Covent garden building is very good. The adventure got off to a great start when the overly busy gentleman at the reception desk had difficulty clearing the queue of people trying to check-in on an evening last week. the hotel is serviced by a very old, very small and very slow which is best avoided when travelling down for breakfast. The room was comfortable however the noise from fans and machinery outside which made getting sleep a bit difficult. The bathroom had seen better days. Breakfast was reasonable and overall the hotel staff were welcoming. If you are working for a few days, not the best place to pick if you have a busy schedule.

This has to be among the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in. We moved the chairs into the wardrobe and couldn't open the main door without moving our bags. TV was oddly positioned on a table rather than the wall, bed uncomfortable and the bathroom was the size of two phone booths. The elevator could take two people without bags and was slow. Breakfast was in a large server area and was ok but at busy times not enough seating. we ate out. The staff very friendly and courteous and nothing seemed a problem. It has a great location because you can walk into the city, there are buses etc at the doorstep. That would be the only reason to stay here. Thank God that there is a Hilton and a Crown Plaza opposite as we eat dinner in each and had cocktails in each on different nights. Would I say again? No.

I spent 4 night in this hotel and I'm 100% satisfied with my choice. Hotel siru is just 5 minute walk away from the North railway station (direct trains to/from airport and many other Belgian and international towns), in the rogier Square (metro station and a lot of shops), a 20 min walk away from grand place (it's a very pleasant stroll to the city centre), and close to all you need during your stay. Our room was clean, warm and despite it's not so large, there's everything you need. Breakfast room is wonderful, I loved the fireplace and there's a wide choice of food in the morning! It's a very good and tasty way to start your day. Hotel staff is very professional, helpful, they replied at all my emails very quickly, and they kept our luggages for free after the checkout. I'd really like to recommend you to stay in this hotel, its location is the best one, it's a very strategic place.

It provides standard accommodation with what else it entails. Average comfort, average bedroom and average furniture. The room was cleaned and taken care every day but the shower is small and old and needs renovation. Breakfast is more than ok. If the price was less than 100 Euro then the whole package would be ok, but I believe this a general problem with Brussels hotels since they are busy due to the European Commission and European Parliament presence.
