A good stay near Basel Airport
the hotel is conveniently situated 3 minutes from the tram stop to/from Basel center and about 10 min drive from the airport; on the main street of saint-Louis, but quiet. Kind staff, good facilities (we had just one sets of towels for a couple, but for one night stay it was Ok. Pretty sure, they would bring an extra by request). A shuttle service is convenient and announced to be free, BUT you need to check it an advance. In our case, the hotel kindly suggested a taxi from airport (FRENCH SIDE ONLY) with full refund by the hotel. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport in the morning has been promised, but in check-in they said that it works now only from 7 am. Also, in our case they did it free but said we need consider the new arrange next time. Once more - to clarify ahead. As a summary: good stay for a very reasonable price.
Acceptable for a short stay
I was staying at this hotel, as I could not get a reasonably priced room in Basel, Switzerland. Positive points is that the hotel is located very close to the border and therefore Swiss public transport around Basel is easy to get to. Another positive is that the staff is friendly and helpful. It is also not too far from supermarkets and restaurants with a price level much lower than Switzerland, right next door. Not so great points were the rooms that are not very large with two single beds. I am used to a double-bed and therefore do not sleep well in a single bed, as I always worry about falling out. The room itself was comfortable to an adequate level. There is a kitchen but again small, so not that easy to prepare food as work space in limited. All in all a reasonable alternative to Basel but a little out of the way.

Nice hotel. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. They speak good English. Very convenient for the bus or tram into Basel. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the quality of breakfast.
Niice Border Hotel near Basel
Considering that most of the guest are interested in Basel, this is an excellent option, just near the French/Swiss border on the French side, so it is much cheaper, Basel can be reach by tram or even by foot, The hotel is modern looking, have a swimming pool, we didn't take breakfast but it is offered. Free shuttle to and from airport on request. Minor negative: border area, nothing interesting around the hotel
Adagio hotel St.Louis Base
Nice cheap hotel close to Basel oldtown. Second time now. Perfect for just one night on our way to Italy. This time 2 nights so we could visit Basel. Rooms with small kitchenette and fridge. Public transport to the city is just 200 meters away. Basic rooms and bathroom. Friendly staff, speak English aswell.
