Clean and comfortable but no frills. Restaurant is superb.

I stayed here one night. It is right on the Ocean with an excellent restaurant with great views of the water. The elevator is kind of odd and stops at split floors. Parking is difficult and cramped. Staff was friendly but only one person spoke English. I stayed here for one night as I planned to drive to Mont St. Michel the next day.

Beautiful view from the sea view rooms. Lovely staff. 20 min walk into town along the prom. Dining room with terrace overlooking the sea. I agree with previous reviewer - breakfast room is oddly silent - some quiet music perhaps!? Bus stop right outside though buses don’t seem to follow the timetable. Get a payment card from nearby tabac. Lovely restaurants on doorstep. Didn’t eat in hotel restaurant but it has good reviews. Smallish but clean and tasteful room. Quiet until the road cleaner or bin lorry comes along early! The carpet upstairs needs replacing - it’s the only thing that’s a bit grim! And single beds perilously marrow! Not cheap but I guess you pay a premium for sea front location.
Lovely location but disappointing

Hotel Antinea is in beautiful location and its proximity to the sea is a real plus. The room was comfortable and clean, although not the one we had expected from our telephone booking. It was on the top floor and the sloping ceiling provided a little difficulty. It was very clean although on the second day it was not cleaned until I phoned reception to remind them. We arrived quite early from the ferry. Our welcome was not as gracious as we would have liked. Indeed the staff seemed unfriendly hardly raising a smile and seemed to view our presence as something of an inconvenience. Understandably our room was not ready and we were allowed to leave our cases. We were told it would not be possible to eat in their dining room that evening, which seemed surprising - in our experience guests (there were 2 of us) can be squeezed in! When we did eat in the hotel restaurant the food was superb and here the service and welcome were excellent. The breakfast room was very quiet,not in a relaxing way, a bit intimidating in fact. Once again the food was very good. We enjoyed our stay but the final morning was a disaster. We asked reception the evening before to book a taxi for the port at 9 o'clock. They assured us this would be done. After breakfast I asked if the taxi was ok and was told none were available. This meant a rather long and stressful walk - with all our luggage to the port. Although we are both in our late 60s we are quite fit and managed ok. The team at reception said they were sorry but offered no real help or alternative solution to the problem. We came away with the impression that English guests, even those who try very hard to converse in French, are rather inconvenient and troublesome and the bottom of the list when needind a little assistance. We would recommend a stay here and hope that we will receive a more friendly welcome next time we stay.
One night stay at Antinea

The Antinea Hotel was very well located right on the beach front with fantastic views of the beach. Breakfast was great and the Hotel and room were all very clean and well kept. The room we had was at the back of the hotel and quite small but it had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our stay before heading home.
Not the service I would expect in a 3 star hotel

The hotel is nicely located. The rooms are ok. But not very clean. The bed comfortable. But I cannot recommend this hotel with a crawling or walking baby. The window or balcony railings are not secure for it. There is no fridge in your room to store milk or anything else. Access to the seafront is through the restaurant which can be ackward when you are in a swimming suit. But what I really disliked was the service. The staff did not really make you feel welcome. And the cleaning service requested you to adjust to their programme. Twice I was out all morning and came back to my room by 2pm for a little siesta. The room had not been serviced yet and shortly before 3 pm the cleaning staff requested to get access to clean or they would not service the room. I would not go back to this hotel.
