Very unprofessional staff , room was fine.

Arrived on a Teusday after working locally. Upon entering saw a sketchy couple and their small children in the lobby who were curled up on the couch and watching tv like it was thier living room. I am not sure but i dont believe these folks were even guests at the hotel they acted like they were just hanging out here. ( maybe friends or family or the employees ) Went to check in and there was one person ahead of me who was simply making a reservation for the following week. The lady at the desk was having trouble even getting that done . 15 minutes later it was my turn. I am not exaggerating when i say it took here 35 minutes to get me checked in . While she was explaining every mouse click to me and the young lady she was "training" she then gave the trainee a master key and told her to go to the room and verify it was cleaned . The entire 35 minutes i was standing there this woman never once stopped talking and bouncing from one thing to another . I think she would have gotten me checked in much faster if she would have stopped talking and just did whatcshe had to do. then i had to be escorted to my room by the young lady, The reason i was escorted to my room was they could not get the room keys activated. About 30 minutes later they did bring me room keys. There were 4 of us stay here in seperate rooms . The guy behind me had a very similar experience. The third of our group got checked in and after he started to his room he had trouble finding the stairs and was met in the hall by the trainee and was told not to go in that room as another guest was is that room . He then was given a different room . One of the group found toilet paper was left when it should have been changed ( see pic ) luckily there was more in the room and if this was our only issue i would have never mentioned it but...this, i think , just helps paint the picture of our experience . As i said in the title the room was fine , nothing special but was fine . Hopefully the management sees this review and makes the needed changes

This is the second Cobblestone Inn I've stayed at in two weeks. What a hidden gem. Both have been excellent for a reasonable price. I had never even heard of this chain until recently. The people here were extremely friendly. The room was clean and everything worked. It was pretty quiet. The breakfast was basic but good. No complaints for this price. After these two stays, I will look for more Cobblestone Inn hotels down the road.

Clean and quiet, but no elevator to second floor

Visiting family in the area. Nicest hotel in Salem, but there is not much competition there. Decent price, basic breakfast. No elevator so if you are on the second floor you get to carry everything up and down the stairs. Staff was somewhat reserved.

The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable. But the employees made the experience and are the reason I’ll be back. Definitely! Especially the lady that checked me in. She was great! Even with computer issues!

Friendly staff! Hotel is clean, quiet & comfortable w/ all the amenities you’d need. Walking distance to a cool little restaurant. Fast food options just down the road. Went to a concert in Louisville & stayed here just 1 night! Recommend!!
