Nice place to stay

Nice HI. It appeared clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Our room looked as though it had been recently redone, including carpet. The breakfast was a bit spartan, but they were making every effort to be safe. There were several chain restaurants nearby. I would not hesitate to stay again.

HI express are my favorite in the IHG chain. This one was great despite a little difficulty checking in because computer systems weren't functioning. The staff did their best and got us into a room asap. Furnishings are modern and updated with a Keurig, great lighting, true blackout curtains and a comfy seat with footstool. Bravo! Breakfast was decent considering covid restrictions.

Hotel was great. Great location , nice quiet location just few minutes away from everything in town. We were there for a softball tournament at Angelo State - was maybe six to seven minutes from the school.

Stayed one night when in town for playoff game for our high school student. Our king room was nice, spacious and clean. My child was thrilled with the bath and body works toiletries. My only issue was with the low water pressure in the shower and the tub was slow to drain. We did not have any issues with noise from the freeway. Breakfast was typical for Holiday Inn. We all thought the omelette was decent and the bacon was a hit. The ladies working in the breakfast area kept it clean and stocked and were pleasant. All in all our stay was nice. My husband had an issue with the business room. It is part of the breakfast area so no real privacy. Overall, not a bad choice if in the area.
Nice exterior, inside????

The hotel looks very clean and new. Check-in was quick and the front desk agent was very pleasant. Our room was a 2 Queen guestroom. It was clean and had a modern look. There was a small microwave oven and refrigerator. A desk and chair was included along with a lounge chair. No curtains though and this became a problem. They use a roll down blackout shade built into a track system. It blocks all light on the bottom and sides. But it doesn't block light coming from a 1 inch gap at the top. Our room overlooked the parking lot so it had pretty bright light leaking into the room. If you are a light sleeper or need to sleep during the day I would not reccomend staying on the parking lot side. The bed mattresses were probably the worst I've ever stayed on in my life. Both beds were VERY firm. You couldn't stay on any one position without pressure point pain. Breakfast was also disappointing. The breakfast area itself is a nicely done, open and bright area. The food choices were rather limited. They had the obligatory cereal, yogurts and bagels. The hot food consisted of sausage and biscuits, omelet fold, turkey sausage patty, sausage links and an automated pancake machine. The pancakes were disgusting. They were very chewy and rubbery. Of course they also have their signature cinnamon rolls. Overall, I would not stay here again with so many choices in town. That's very unfortunate as my daughter will be attending ASU in the Fall and we'll be staying many nights over the next 4 years.
