GREAT PLACE!!!
The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. The rooms with the double beds are a little tight, but nothing major. For example, one side of one of the beds is close to the air conditioner. The other bed has a wall close to it. And for the size of these rooms, they should have bigger televisions. But, overall it's a nice place.
Great experience
I wanted to wait before I left a comment because I knew I was going to be traveling a second time. The first time I paid full price and the second time I went through hotels.com at a discount. I wanted to see if their attitude and quality of rooms would change based on whether or not I paid full price or a discount through a travel agency which is the case with a lot of places that I've been before. I'm happy to say that it didn't. Both times I stayed in their suite. The staff was very professional and courteous and the views from the third and fourth floor towards the city side is breath taking. they serve a full continental breakfast to include eggs sausage Texas size waffles, cereal and various other items and juices and fruits. Price is very reasonable for San Antonio and you would never guess it's a 2 star hotel. Rooms are very clean. No deposit if using credit or debit card and a $50 deposit if you're using cash. One of the best hotel stays I've had in a very long time. Thanks Days inn, I'll be back. 😀
At least there was no Bed Bugs......
The only thing good about this hotel is the fact there is no bed bugs. 🙄 Honestly one of the worst hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. There was bloody toilet paper under the bathroom sink, sticky stuff all over the kitchen counter (I even stuck a piece of toilet paper to it so they would clean it and they just ripped it off) there was dirt everywhere on the floor. The pillows are the size of tic tacks, it is either too hot or too cold, the tv remote was broken, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Oh my gosh the toilet paper says 2 ply but dont let that fool you. The toilet paper at the convenience store down the road was better. I don't know how they could cut any more corners on this hotel, to be honest. And the maids.... we were all legit sleeping due to being in line all night for SASS, but the maid came in to get towels I woke up told her hello, she left, thought all was good. But no she came back in to clean the bathroom. I mean wth. I complained to the office in the morning they said they would have someone clean the room. Well they never did. The mud that feel off our shoes was still in the middle of the floor when we came in. I mean all we did was sleep there but I at least would like a clean room while I am sleeping. The breakfast was hot and decent, the location to the fair grounds was perfect, they have hot water and good water pressure. Those are about the only good things I can say about the place. Oh and watch that elevator it likes to start going while the door is still open.
Felt unsafe in neighborhood... Hotel chain needs to maintain their properties better.
Hotel in very questionable neighborhood. Felt unsafe and was afraid car would get broken in to. Is close to AT&T Center was reason for staying here. Like most Wyndham properties, most are just a slight improvement of a Motel 6. Sorry Motel 6 but your places are just plain gross. Have tried many of Wyndham’s locations and pretty much have come to the conclusion they are pretty much all run and maintained the sams way, as cheap as possible and pinching every penny to make a dollar. Will be paying a few dollars more and stay at nicer hotels in better locations. No more 50/50 chances for me. Sorry guys but I’ve had enough.
Would not stay there again nor recommend anyone I know to do so either.
I travel a lot, in and out of hotels on a monthly basis and from check in to check out (5 nights) this was hands down the worst hotel I've stayed in! There is nothing close by; places to eat, entertainment, stores and two different Uber drivers questioned both myself another member of my team why we'd be staying there since that was not a good area? That's the outside; inside the front desk wasn't professional, my room wasn't clean, although I'd customize my room to fit my needs every night I returned only to find it was changed back or differently, temperature I'd set it at for when I'd come back would be changed, my key along with others from my team's keys were not set correctly so we'd have to return back down to the front desk to get them reset, twice after leaving house keeping would turn my bathroom fan on all day for whatever reason which I don't know but I do know it caused my room to stink badly like mildew.
