This is a fantastic resort. Beautifully situated on a hill north of San Antonio, it is both convenient and with a feeling of being "away". While this is a 1,000+ room property with massive meeting space, they are able to successfully pull off a kid-friendly resort experience simultaneously. The property is exquisitely maintained and the staff was universally both well trained and very hospitable. We will definitely be back.
Good meeting hotel

Attended a meeting here and the facilities are great. Nice that there is no parking charge. The personnel were very friendly and always helpful. We even had time for the water park one day and it was quite nice, clean and well run. The food was also very good at the hotel. Not a lot of options for places to eat, but what we had was very good and they tried to mix up the menu. Everyone is still trying to work through covid and such and they did a good job. Would definitely return for a meeting.

Let me first say I used my points for our stay. After COVID lockdown I decided to splurge. The rooms and amenities are just fabulous. This place rocks. The pool and water park are fun and relaxing at the same time. The staff is great.we had breakfast everyday and the food was very good. We did not do the buffet, and saved the money and still had plenty to eat. The bars and nightlife really picked up on the weekend.
Fantastic Family Fun!

After a tropical storm forced us to change our original plans to Mexico - we took the recommendation of a friend and booked the JW Hill Country. Our 3 kids (11, 13 and 15) had an absolute blast and my husband and I enjoyed as well. Low crowds, great weather, plenty of space, stringent safety protocols all equaled a wonderful fall break getaway!
Big Resort, Little Food Variety

This is a big, sprawling resort with enough facilities to keep a family occupied for several days. Don’t worry about neglecting your fitness program. You will do enough walking to keep your cardio program on track. My room was comfortable and business friendly with enough desk space and connectivity to support an away from home office. The downside is food. There are several restaurants but very little variety. The menus are not quite, but almost, identical. There is a paucity of pasta, and about the only sandwiches are beef on buns (not even a cheesesteak).
