Clean, Modern Room and Friendly Staff
Reviewed 23 november, 2021
We stayed in a one bedroom suite for five nights at this property. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern, all that I would expect from a Marriott property. The staff was all exceptionally friendly. Jonathan at the front desk could not have been more helpful. Lorraine, General Manager, was welcoming and engaging. I will look forward to staying here again when I visit San Antonio.
Will not stay again

The gentleman who checked us in was nice and the actual location is fine. However, it was waaaayyy overpriced for its condition. My family and I were looking for a Residence Inn with 2 bedrooms with a queen/king on one side and double queens on the other. That was the first disappointment since this property does not have that type of room. The room itself was not in good condition…smelled bad, dingy carpet, and gloomy. The doors were broken in the bedroom and bathroom (taped up, got stuck, and were very difficult to open). This property is definitely in need of renovation…a complete overhaul asap. I do not recommend staying at this property.

Another facility using the pandemic as an excuse not to provide the services that I am paying for. Even though ALL Covid pandemic restrictions have been removed in Texas, the property refuses to clean the rooms, serve breakfast, or serve the hospitality hour in the evenings. Nor has the property taken advantage of the time to do maintenance or repairs. Our closet door didn't just not work properly, it was GONE. Not even in the room! Despite being Ambassador Elite and Lifetime Titanium, the preferences in my profile were not met or even mentioned. No fresh towels, no fresh wash cloths, no trash removed, no services of ANY kind! But the pool was open.
During a time of weather conditions causing electricity outages and no water this hotel charged a one night stay
Reviewed 20 february, 2021
At check-in, the hotel had no water or electricity and was facing a computer outage. The front desk was told that check-in or cancellation was not possible at this time. The family was told they would be called if power and water came back on and they could either cancel or check-in at that time. No call was ever received so the family found and booked another hotel. The hotel marked them as a no-show, no cancellation, and charged for one night's lodging. I am not recommending this hotel based on the fact that under extreme situations they are not responsive to the needs of their customers. I am a travel agent and will not be using this hotel as a referral to guests.

For a stop over in San Antonio we booked 2 rooms; 1, 1 bedroom for my dad and 1, 2 bed/2b bath which we love in Schaumburg Il. It was always top notch. So we though this would be too. Our 2 bed2/2bath had no hot eater in the kitchen. Although the dishwasher worked -still couldn’t properly wash or hands or dig bowl. The couch was a ski slope with an abyss tilted so that if you sat on one side you’d end up pretty close to the floor. The fireplace didn’t work and I guess since it’s summer they turned it off- Coyle he r communicated that. One bedroom closet was missing a mirror door and one shelf was hanging lopsided on the wall. I guess since it was only one night - it was ok. But don’t check in hungry because the pantry is like Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard. You’d think with Covid and not offering their brand breakfast buffet they’d offer you to buy food - not just a grab and go bag. There is NOTHING nearby for dinner either. Unlike you like Pizza Hut. Nor does the front desk offer or know of options nearby. So after a 5 hour drive from DFW Puzza is as good as it gets and I’m glad we brought cereal and fruit - they ran out of milk to buy - so my husband went to a gas station so we could have a decent breakfast before driving another 4/5 hours south. Wait. It gets better. The 1 bedroom suite for my 94 year old dad flooded. No one offered to help move him. I called to report the kitchen sink was leaking all over the floor. The associate asked “ did you turn the water off?”. I had to laugh. My daughter ran downstairs to get a new key and my son and I moved my dad. Since my husband was out looking for milk.... I got an apology. That was it. So we paid for my dads room, our 2 bedroom 2 bath room and a pet deposit for inadequacy in accommodations and first service. Do the math. Not worth it. I asked in the way out ( not offered the grab and go bag and did not bother to ask) if there would be consideration for an adjustment to the folio. The nice man at the front desk Sunday morning said he was sure “they” would and add points”. So I trusted “ they” would. And “they” did not. On our way back to DFW we will overnight again in San Antonio but it will not be here.
