Wouldn’t stay there again
Comfortable beds and lovely room but so many little things are wrong with this place. I arrived mid evening, nowhere to get water or food, bottle of wine in the room but no opener, reception is up the hill. No door on the bathroom and safe instructions don’t match the safe and are in tiny print. WiFi didn’t function during my stay but the worst thing was how hot the rooms where and no way of cooling them down. I stayed 4 long nights there.
We checked in to Nov. The 14th and checked out on the 15th. First impression was excellent with Carla at the desk. She
The next day was very poor indeed. We went for breakfast which was poor compared what we have received in the 6 places we stayed. As far as our booking was concerned it was included in the price as elsewhere. The lady at reception did not speak a word of English which did not help. The room had been paid when we checked in with Carla. Yet, it took 35 minutes trying to figure out why this woman wanted more money. It was for the breakfast. It was most unpleasant and we decided never to return. We stopped off to see friends who said the place has gone way down. Too bad as the facility was otherwise good.
Great winter stay at Bahia Paraiso
This hotel exceeded our expectations. We rented a two story, two bedroom/two bath apartment with living room/kitchen. The price was very reasonable for the number of rooms, so I was a little nervous. But it was wonderful! And perfect for our family of four including two teens. The beds were extremely comfortable and well outfitted with good bedding. It was the best sleep we had in Argentina. Some guests noted noise from the street - we didn't hear anything at night from our rooms, minimal noise in the afternoon. The view out the living room window was of the lake across the street and mountains, the small deck was a great place to sit and soak up sun even in winter. The service was excellent. The breakfast was simple - mostly sweets with fresh fruit and bread and lunch meats/cheese, cereal and coffee. The location was perfect - just outside Bariloche and about 20 minutes drive to Catedral. I would recommend this hotel for people who have/rent a car as we did, but there is a bus stop across the street and you can walk into town in about 20 minutes. The drives we took around the lake and toward Llao Llao were absolutely spectacular.
beautiful experience
5 of us from USA recently stayed here on our trip thru Argentina and Chile. We enjoyed the clean rooms, beautiful view, the breakfast and most of all the friendly staff. none of us speak Spanish it was so special to be greeted by Veronica who spoke English very well and really helped us in our search of outstanding restaurants and attractions to visit. It was just a short cab ride from town and we actually walked it and enjoyed the scenery we would love to back and stay longer . The last morning we had to leave before breakfast started however Veronica talked to staff and they brought to our room the night before plenty of food for morning that was outstanding customer service thank you for all you did to make our stay special.
Lovely hotel
Bahia Paraiso is a beautiful boutique hotel and our room was absolutely beautiful with a small sitting area separate to the bedroom and a great large bathroom with a separate toilet. The breakfast was a little disappointing as the buffet was mainly cakes and biscuits with a few cold cuts and sliced bread. The location is approximately a 5 minute bus ride with the bus stop conveniently right out the front. If you don't have a sube card (their electronic public transport card that you can top up at local Kiosko's) you will need to get a taxi or walk into town which will take about 20 minutes and there are no walking paths on either side of the very busy road so be prepared to walk right next to the road on a dirt path. The bus stop to Cerro Catedral is also right across the street however be prepared to wait as the buses in Bariloche are never on time! A lot of the nice restaurants are a drive away so if you don't have a hire car you will need to get a taxi or a remis. Overall the hotel and staff were lovely however the location was a bit too far from downtown and restaurants. If I was to stay there again I would definitely get a hire car!
