An average hotel stay

Reviewed 10 march, 2020

There are limited accommodations in this area. This hotel has a very nice location in downtown. We stayed one night in room 511 and this room faced the lake. The view was quite nice but at night when the bars open, they open along the street where the hotel is situated. You can hear lots of vehicle noise beginning at 230am and continuing until dawn. Even with curtains closed and windows shut it is difficult to sleep. The room we were in had 2 twin beds, a desk/chair, flat screen TV, fridge and 1 sitting chair. The floor is carpeted and there is no air conditioning due to the town's high altitude location. There is a fan. The room has a closet, safe, tub/shower, shampoo, tissues. No conditioner. We had dinner and breakfast here. The dinner was ok and the staff was helpful. Breakfast had variety but the food was far from great. Our room was next to the elevator. The hotel has free wifi but the wifi in our room never stayed on continuously; we had to go down 5 floors to the lobby where the wifi was reliable.

The staff was very nice and friendly The room nice with a partial view to the lake, without AC, which is a necessity in this month. The carpet needs a replacement or at least a good cleaning Buffet breakfast was included and very good There is a travel agency inside which is good to arrange the tours Very close to the Main Street where the action is

Excellent Service

Reviewed 11 february, 2020

We choose the Hotel to rest for 15 days (starting on Dec 20, 2019), we spent Christmas & New Years Eve. The reservations Department is very dedicated, respectull & take care of any passenger need. Hotel facilities in perfect condition, the pool, the small but equipped gym, The SPA area.....pls take into account that to perform body treatments you must request a shift (pay a fee). The two restaurants of the Hotel have the same menu, both: impeccable, it is clear that it is very accessible to eat inhouse, as well as the room service. The food is quality & abundant......and the prices accessible and they also have promotions The attention of the staff very cordial and willing to help you anytime, in the same way the Agency boys in the lobby. Unforgettable experience: it could not have been better. Undoubtedly it maintains the charm and distinction throughout the years & the location is.....PERFECT!

Welkommen to East Germany’s Outpost in the Andes

Reviewed 13 january, 2020

Stay elsewhere, unless you crave a dose of retro East German comforts like small rooms that lack air conditioning (the hotel kindly provided a stand up ventilator so loud it was a choice between the least of two evils). Bed are furnished with hard foam pillows on on spring mattresses that seem made of wrought iron. The polyester bedding should automatically drop this place into the 2 star category. The renovations were half hearted, and are dated. A sign at the hotel proudly declares it has stood here for 50 years, and it shows. If you’re parking a car at the location be prepared to be gouged for USD$12 and I hope you’re not driving anything larger than a Lada. The hotel’s pics don’t capture what looks like a complete ignorance of bleach or any other serious means of cleaning a bathroom. Also, Bariloche? Wow, this town is situated in such a beautiful location that it’s ugliness should be considered a crime😱 PS USD$6 for a small bottle of Evian... Argentina, why do you do this to yourself🤦🏼‍♂️ #freetrade

NH Edelweis

Must improve celerity in solving problems and staff efficiency. You must also decide if it is a hotel for delegations or passengers. Check in and check out is impossible when delegations are arriving to the facilities. When delegations are at the restaurant waiters could last at least one hour and a half to bring the food to your table. Parking is used by foreign people and could not be available for passengers. We were forced to move to different rooms since they were occupied. Our affiliation to the NH group never was a priority to the hotel staff.
