We stayed here for a week for our son's wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle, not far away. The best thing about this hotel is the staff! They were unfailingly friendly, not just personable, and very helpful. We got to know the desk staff (Justin and Ash) on a first name basis and Maria, who tended the breakfast bar, was friendly, not just polite. The room was clean and I liked that housekeeping was at your request, so we felt extra-secure with our wedding belongings in our room. Each day, I set out the trash and recycling and it was swiftly removed...that was all we needed. Usually, we struggle to sleep comfortably when we travel, but the bed was perfect. Both my husband and I slept very well. The hotel offers a heated, outdoor pool and a gym room. The location was right off two main arteries to the city, so accessing tourism, restaurants, etc. was very easy. Shopping was nearby, also. We had a very comfortable stay and if we were to return to San Diego, we would definitely stay here again!
Great Stay for SDSU Visit

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to visit the SDSU campus. It is only located 15 mins away by drive and the hotel was very peaceful. Suites are spacious with sofa beds and a small kitchenette area. There is a mini fridge and microwave. Masks are not required in the lobby and elevator if you are fully vaccinated. Breakfast buffet is back at this hotel with hot pre-packaged sandwiches. All of the juices and coffees are also available. You have to use food gloves to enter the buffet. It is conveniently located next to a Chili's in the same parking lot where you can enjoy Lunch or Dinner. Highly recommend this hotel and will be staying at this hotel again when visiting San Diego.
overpriced for little amenities

I stayed here during the first week of June 2021. The rate was high but the website made it look worthwhile. It wasn't.
The room lacked dresser drawers which is a hinderance for a long stay. The room was not really clean when we arrived, there were papers on the floor and the carpet did not appear to be adequately vacuumed. You have to call the day before to schedule having your room cleaned.
The "kitchenette" consists of a mini-refrigerator and a small microwave. No cutlery, plates, utensils, or cookware.
The breakfast buffet which looks so good on the website was so deficient it was funny. The entire buffet contained only bananas, some egg-mcmuffin style sandwiches and some small, over-age pastries.
On the positive side, the staff was universally professional, friendly and polite.
There is no set of circumstances that would lead me to recommend that anyone stay here.

Easy to book, cheap rate (less than $100/night). The best thing about the rate is that there is no resort fee since it is a business hotel, and no parking fee. Also very easy to find right off the I-15. Checked in at night, but front desk staff was still very friendly and welcoming. The room was more spacious than comparable hotels, with a living area, kitchenette/work desk area, and sleeping area. Large sofa was nice to relax, while the kitchenette had a nice sized refrigerator and a small microwave. King size bed is a plus, as is a real bathtub/shower combo. The bathroom sink area is separate and divided from the toilet/tub, so one could get ready while the other showers or does their business.
COVID-19 restrictions: You have to request service (housekeeping, etc) the night prior, though the housekeeper changed my towels and took my trash out with a $5 bribe. Also, gym and pool are closed, and the free breakfast is a very basic take out. Masks required inside public areas.
My one recommendation is the coffee/tea service should also have water, and be left out for the entire day instead of only breakfast hours. Surprising how many folks want a cup of coffee during the day.
Great location for tourist.

The hotel itself is average. Nice, clean suite but very small. Staff was numerous and very helpful. Covid rules in full effect!
The breakfast buffet was limited. Fresh fruit and yogurt was good, but the breakfast sandwiches were unappetizing. But this place was very convenient to Beaches, the bay and most of what makes SD great. Any place we went was 15-25 minute drive.
