Great place to visit
Location! Sea view from every room. Close to beautiful old town and super nice and clean „by-the-sea walk”. Sunset and everything. Very kind staff, room was spacious and clean. Good and clean pool, where you can drink a bear. I strongly recommend this place
indeed, the best place to stay in Campeche
Something interesting happened here. At the beginning, my husband and I, have booked a room in this hotel for a night because we read that wifi was ok. The room seemed dated, but because of the view, the space, the large bathroom, we agreed to stay one night. While walking in the historical centre, we also visited other well rated hotels in Campeche. Not only that they were empty, but they looked horrible, with no breakfast, no view, no space in the room or the bathroom. We came back after that walking tour very happy about the decision of staying at Gamma. It was really the best you can find in the area...so we booked other 3 more nights. The shower was hot, the room was having space, the bed was so comfortable and the view....amazing. The breakfast was very good (american breakfast with coffee, juice, plate of fruits, eggs, butter) and the staff was also very nice. It was an excellent decision to stay here!
Best place to stay in Campeche
Fabulous location right across from the Malecón and one block from the historical downtown. Hotel is beautiful, room was very nice and comfortable, large balcony with spectacular ocean view. Food was tasty. Staff was very professional and courteous. Covid-19 safety measures were in place enforced everywhere, both at the hotel and in the city, which made feel safe. Campeche, we’ll be back!
Nice large room and balcony. Great view of the pool area and water.
Great location on the Malecon. Easy and convenient. Close to the Sea Gate entrance to the old town. Parking in front of hotel. Large comfortable bed, clean and quiet room. The pool area could be landscaped nicer with shrubs, and flowers - a little austere. Pool bar not open very much. I think it was a very quiet time for the hotel. Not many guests. Get better in-room safes. You had to ask at reception for a lock.
Great staff. Dated rooms.
We stayed here for 2 nights on our roadtrip around the Yucatan peninsula. The hotel is located across the main road from the waterfront (no beach) and about 5 minutes walk from the quaint old town where you'll find plenty of eateries. On first entry the hotel appears fairly modern but the bedrooms feel somewhat dated with broken tiles on the bathroom floor, fixtures and fittings that have seen better days and a bed that was a bit on the soft side. Our original room was right next to the elevators and you could clearly hear them going up and down all the time so we asked to be moved and they helpfully gave us a room away from the elevators. In common with most of the rooms there was no furniture on the balcony so when we asked for some seats they brought us what can only be described as dining room chairs! The room had a safe (although you need to get a key from reception) and tea & coffee making facilities. There's a good sized swimming pool with a bar and food service and plenty of sunbeds but it falls into shade by mid afternoon. What really stood out was the helpfulness of the staff. My wife had brilliantly left her mobile phone at Uxmal earlier in the day and along with trying to contact Uxmal for us to see if it had been handed in (it hadn't) they were more than willing to allow a number of complimentary phone calls to the UK to cancel/suspend various accounts (thank you again). Overall this is a good choice in Campeche but I feel like the staff deserve a hotel that is a little more up to date.
