Great option in SOMA

I stayed at this property for 3 nights on a business trip from the East Coast. It was a wonderful surprise. The mobile key worked perfectly. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully appointed in white, black, greys and reds. The bed us super comfortable (on the soft side if you like that). I had no idea it was a renovated Courtyard until the bartender told me. I would have never guessed. I had a standard king room and it was large for a city hotel. Bar and food are very good. The one downside, as mentioned in other reviews, the gym is waayyyyy too small for a hotel of this size. Equipment is very limited and with covid it is not a comfortable vibe. Also, no Pelotons, if you are looking for that, as I was. I noticed several people having to leave as no equipment was available at 6:00 AM. Hopefully, it is on the list of upgrades, as it will definitely deter me from staying again for anything more than 1-2 nights. Nespresso machines in the room, also a great plus. Outside of the gym, I would highly recommend.
Great staff and nice remodeled hotel

A nicely remodeled hotel in the heart of SOMA. Walk to anywhere. Check-in was a bit of a mess. Took me 15 minutes before I was able to check-in. Very small check-in area. For being an Autograph Collection Hotel, the hotel falls a little bit short. I expect better bedding and sheets. The pillows are cotton balls and the bath amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion were all different brands. The quality of products should be higher. I think because of supply chain supplies, the hotel is doing what it can to at least provide them. The gym is very small for this size property and has not been updated. They let me use the gym at the W Hotel down the street. The hotel use to be a Courtyard Marriott. You can’t hear a thing outside with the soundproof windows. The rooms should have bottles of water. You had to go downstairs to the front desk to ask and they only gave small ones. The front desk staff and everyone that works at the hotel was great. Will return.

Recently attended a business meeting at a SOMA law firm and was pleasantly surprised with the new Clancy which was only two blocks away. Rooms were immaculate, bed was perfect, service was collegial. The bar had good wait-staff and the basic burger I had when I arrived (starving and late in the evening) was top-notch. Has a young vibe but filled up with 60-somethings for the Eagles concert. Very convenient, walkable environs, maybe 8 brisk minutes to Ferry Building. Price was right. Will stay here again.
Great hotel, nice staff, highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Clancy! Room was big and very clean, property is well maintained, staff was very friendly, and the little coffee/breakfast bar downstairs was great! This hotel is in a decent part of town and within walking distance of the SFMOMA. Highly recommend- would stay here again!
Great San Francisco Hotel...

We spent the first weekend in October 2021 at The Clancy. From check-in to check-out our stay was flawless! The rooms are clean and comfortable plus very quiet for a busy downtown hotel! We didn't need housekeeping services since we were only there for 3 nights but the staff was always available if one needed extra towels or shampoo items. It's a great location, close to the ballpark as we walked to the Giants/Padres game on Saturday without any problems. The pub/bar in the Clancy was open at night until 11pm and service was fantastic! (A lot of restaurants in the area are only open until about 8pm so plan accordingly.) Special kudos to Darius who checked us in and gave us a fantastic room with a view. HIs professionalism is wonderful and he is definitely an asset to the Marriott name! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
