We went to SF for our thanksgiving weekend with family thinking that it would be nice for us to drive out of LA to relax and just have a good time. But we had some concerns: 1st, Prior to traveling, we had called the hotel to inquire about their rules regarding Service Dogs- Emotional support dogs and the agent happily told us that for us that for as long as we have paperwork(Which I don’t think they’re supposed to- correct me if I’m wrong) we wouldn’t need to pay additional fees but come checkout time, we were charged additional fees and the front desk surprisingly claimed that the housekeeping told them that we have a dog in the room which first we informed them about and 2nd we had put our DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door which makes me think that they’re opening guest doors even we already request not to do so. FYI, My ADA dog is with us all the time and would not bark at all. 2nd, the hotel is valet only parking which is totally fine but, in order for us to get out from the hotel we always had to wait for at least 30 mins for valet to bring take our car in and bring our car out because I think they only had 1 person working in valet(which is not a good excuse) and they’re actually letting cars park in the no parking area which one car almost hit my dog and valet wasn’t even apologetic. We tried to address our concerns at the front desk but the agent didn’t seem to care at all that’s why I’m writing this review to let the management know and for future guest to be aware as well. I hope this helps.

Just the right hotel in the right place

Short stay with my daughter only 4 nights, approx 30 mins away from airport by uber ,about $40 paid. The hotel is clean, fresh looking, front desk staff quick and efficient. Room, we had a twin bed , was large and again clean and fresh looking with complimentary tea/coffee , bath /shower with complimentary soaps/shampoo etc and plenty of towels, really nice to come back to after a long day out. Breakfast hot or cold , eggs ,toast ,fruit ,a good variety not massive but still great for a filling breakfast Hotel is excellently positioned ,literally minutes away, from the Fishermans wharf/ pier 39 area, we couldn't fault it and without a doubt would stay and or recommend to anyone

Extremely nice location and service

It has been a crazy morning for our family. Our flight was at 7:15am on Sunday morning and I did not pre arrange the transportation thinking we could easily catch a Uber ride to the airport. I was wrong! Not only did the Uber hike up the price to almost $100, but they did not accept the ride for the morning. As calling for an Uber did not work, I asked for help to Andre at the front desk. He really went above and beyond helping us right away by calling a taxi ride making sure someone will arrive shortly. After realizing the car won’t arrive in time, he cancelled it and called the Town Car service which provides a ride at a flat rate of $65. Not only that, Andre asked the security gentleman to look out for a taxi outside the lobby in the cold morning. We ended up arriving at the airport 15min before the departure. And with the help of TSA, we arrived at the gate just in time. Much appreciated and BIG thanks to Andre for all his help in the morning!! If it wasn’t for him, we would have missed the flight and be stuck at the airport for hours waiting for the next one. As for the hotel stay, it was a perfect place to stay if you’re visiting SF. We did a Big Bus and Alcatraz tour which were all within the walking distance from the hotel! Although I didn’t expect anything from it, I had sent an email to the hotel prior to our stay that we were celebrating a birthday. And to our surprise, GM upgraded our room to a suite! The room was spotless, big, and comfortable. Everything was perfect, and it met our needs. I honestly did not expect such nice accommodation and service(Andre!). This is definitely not an ordinary holiday inn express that I know. I would definitely choose this hotel over other luxurious hotels in downtown due to its location and service next time. Lastly, do NOT rely on Uber for your airport transportation in SF. Prearrange it with Andre at the front lobby :-)

First visit to San Francisco. Love this location. Easily Walked to Pier 39, financial district, marine district, Russian Hill, Golden Gate Bridge, inner Richmond (and all in between), cable cars (2 of them), and China town. We didn’t have car so $50 cab ride to/from San Francisco airport and front and end of trip. Easy Uber/Lyft rest of the time when needed. Very clean and safe hotel. Breakfast was more than enough for us each day. Coffee all day. Great staff.

Good location, good standardized service

We stayed two nights in this hotel, and appreciated the standardized service, the friendly welcome, good sized room, "you-know-what-you-get-breakfast" and included parking. Close to Fisherman's Wharf and other SF attractions.
