Clean, safe hotel with friendly service
My family of 4 stayed for two nights for my son's doctors appointment at UCSF. The hotel was clean and covid-safe with ample hand-sanitizer stations, partitions and other social distancing methods in place. We felt welcomed and cared for our entire visit. The hotel team was friendly and accommodating. They were helpful in ensuring our stay was comfortable and we had what we needed. The balcony room was perfect for our kids to use for remote/zoom learning and the free wi-fi handled all of our needs. The hotel's location to the Ferry Building and Embarcadero is perfect as well for walking, and breakfast/lunch by the bay. Will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Ca. I purchased the suite with patio and had an awesome view of San Francisco’s Financial district for my Bday on NYE even though the city was shut down I still had a lovely time and enjoyed my Bday Staycation I will be back and stay longer...
Horrible COVID-19 protocols
I had booked a stay here on New Year’s Eve because I was doing work in the area the next day. I was expecting to present proper credentials regarding my work trip and that they weren’t allowing reservations unless deemed essential. To my surprise they didn’t check anything and seemed to allow anyone to check in. Other guests were lighting fireworks from their balcony throughout the night. To my knowledge I thought San Francisco was under a shelter in place and non essential travel was not allowed. Maybe the hotel missed this I’m not sure. But I definitely did not feel the hotel was doing their part to stop the spread.
Best Experience for the City
This location has to be the best experience for touring City. Location +++ Room +++ Service +++ View +++ Spent my Xmas here during the pandemic and can not complain about anything. My overall experience here was great!
Nice Location and Great Atrium
The atrium at this hotel is stunning! And it also means you have to walk a long way if you’re far from the elevators. Check in took a while since there was one employee, but he was very friendly. The location is great as it’s just a few blocks from the Embarcadero. The rooms are pretty large as well. But nothing really stood out at this hotel for me. It was a nice comfortable stay.
