The WORST motel of all our many road trips!

Reviewed 4 november, 2021

To be fair, this property gets a star (but just one) for being in a good location and being able to park your car right there at no additional cost. However, these perks are not worth it when you consider all you have to endure. Upon entering the room we were assaulted by a strong mildewy odor covered by a powerfully-smelling disinfectant. The sheets were thin and gray, and the only other thing on the bed was an extremely thin old blanket (no bedspread). The mattress was well beyond time for replacement-- very uncomfortable. The little pillows smelled so badly we covered them with our T-shirts. There was no water pressure in the shower; in fact, I didn't even bother because it obviously would take forever to rinse my hair. The carpet was sticky and needed to be replaced-- one area even had tape over it. It was that kind of filth where you have to wear shoes on it, and your shoes make a sound like you're walking on sticky tape with every step. The furniture was very old, dirty, and in disrepair (broken parts). The chair was especially gross because it was covered in filthy, sticky fabric. The clientele did not appear to be vacationers/travelers, or let's just say they were traveling in a different realm, many of whom kept nocturnal hours. The noise level, all night long, was intolerable-- whether through the walls from the next room or from the outside where the exterior walkways were alive with activity. The staff at the desk were indifferent to our concerns. Overall, this place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. When you get a deal in San Francisco at such a cost, this should raise a red flag.

Great price, Great Location

Reviewed 29 september, 2021

Price was great for the location and free parking was a bonus. The parking spots were really narrow. Glad we parked and left our car there. When we returned at night there wasn’t many spots left and if someone didn’t park right it would have been difficult to get in. Very nice staff although I didn’t have much interaction with them. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Be careful the water in the shower was very hot. Location is great. About 3/4 mile to Fisherman’s Wharf and 3 blocks to a Streetcar stop.

front desk gave key to stranger that stole everything

Reviewed 9 december, 2020

I recently stayed at the nob hill motor inn during my stay I was out for business and a man went to the front desk and asked for a key to my room the front desk made them made him a key without looking to see if I was the right person on the drivers license the out then proceeded into my room to steal $9700 worth of electronics from me. on top of that I have been emailing the property asking them what they’re gonna do for about this even though I have proof in video footage from their security cameras of this happening and not one person from the hotel or its main office group has contacted me back for days! I recommend nobody stay at this hotel if you value your belongings and your safety stay elsewhere!

Not as advertised

Reviewed 16 november, 2020

The room was not very clean, garbage can in the room still had trash from the previous occupant, the curtains had burn holes. They advertise free breakfast but then use the excuse of Covid 19 to say they can't supply that. Lastly, the housekeeping staff barged into the room without even knocking on the door. Check in was extremely slow, took almost half and hour.

Downgraded my room, charged me suite price

Reviewed 27 july, 2020

Booked a 2bedroom suite, came to check in, went to room, it was a tiny 2 queen bed room not a suite. They charged me for the suite and down graded my room thinking i wouldn't notice an entire bedroom missing. They offered me a rollaway but i had to actually argue for a discount. They wanted me to pay suite pricing for a dingy queen room. Bathroom is a 90s taco bell wallpaper mess. We were crammed in the room and we got back to the room around 730pm. We looked everywhere for the remote, no where to be found. We went to front desk and they said, it's in there just look harder. We never got to watch the TV. At 3am we got to listen to screaming in the middle of the night, that lasted for about 40 min. This place needs better service. Too many great hotels for the same price. Lots of shopping near by so I wish i had a better experience with this hotel.
