Great loc and wonderful staff

I’m a Wyndham VIP member and we chose this location for our eight night stay. The Wyndham Canterbury is a nice hotel in a good location. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful, especially the doorman Dino. The reason I only gave it three stars, is because of the horrible Internet service. We were very upset about the WiFi, or lack there of. They offer basic for free and high speed for a price. We are timeshare owners and we should not have to pay extra for WiFi being that we get killed with maintenance fees. The wifi should be high-quality for all. . We called the front desk, because we couldn’t connect at all and were given a number to call, but nobody ever answered. We spent our entire stay without WiFi. We had to wait until we went out to actually book activities or check our emails. We also had a very frustrated teenager that could not connect to the Internet. I’ve never experienced that at any other Wyndham location.

Great location for touring

While this is part of a timeshare group, I booked through a hotel site and was treated as a hotel guest the whole time. So many nice touches made this place great! Starter coffee, free laundry, nice dishes, etc. Some things you have to ask for, but they were happy to provide it to the room. Note that the fridge is half size and there is no stove, but a provided skillet (which did great!) did the trick. This is not a complaint, just plan accordingly when shopping for groceries. Adorable grocery store (Mayflower Market) around the corner or use instacart--I did both. We did not have a car and used public transit successfully the whole time--including to and from the airport. (Pro-tip, the Muni 27 bus will take you up the hill from the Civic Center Bart station.) Parking is very expensive and as of this writing, so are rental cars. If you only need a car for an outing there are several car rental companies a few blocks away. Put the "clipper card" on your phone and enjoy amazing transit. Easy walk to the cable car too. Gym was nice. They had a game room and business center that looked nice, but I didn't use it.

One Bedroom Presidential

As a Club Wyndham VIP owner, I was really impressed and my expectations were exceeded, with the property. The lobby and the unit decor was awesome. Check in was smooth, but you have to stop at the concierge/sales before moving on to your unit, which was not enjoyable. They ask repeatedly for you to attend an update, after 25 to 30 minutes of saying no, we became a bit agitated, borderline rude and the young woman finally got the message. After a long travel day we were not up for it. We just wanted to relax and get dinner. Other than the sales/concierge, it was great!

Teddy the doorman

We had a great experience during our two trips there. However, last time Teddy, the doorman, was gone. No one would tell us where he was. We didn't ask for personal information, just if he was at another condo. He made our trip by being so friendly and accomodating. Just interested if we could see him at another Wyndham, as we visit them all over the world. Thank you!!!!

Great Hotel

Hotel was clean and updated. Staff was very friendly. Location was decent (the further north you go the better neighborhoods get). Room was huge with a decent sized walled off bedroom along with another pullout bed in the living area.
