Nice hotel with convenient location

Reviewed 28 november, 2022

This is a very nice hotel in a great location attached to a mall and also very close to many fine restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance. The views from our room were exceptional. We did have an issue with our door lock and had to have maintenance come to our room 3 times to fix the lock which was quite the inconvenience. Then another day, they had to come fix the AC because the room got up to 90 degrees. Other than that, we had a very good stay.

Beautiful Location

Reviewed 12 august, 2022

Hotel has gorgeous views of the mountains and is attached to the large mall. Mall has everything you need including restaurants and a grocery store. Bar and pool deck are very nice, but wish they stayed open later into the night. Rooms are fine but don't have a fridge or microwave. Breakfast is pricy (about $17.50 USD), but very good. When we put our trash out for housekeeping to take, they also took the trash cans and wouldn't give them back which we found odd. If you need something, go to reception in the upper lobby, not the motor lobby.

Ghost charges once I arrived home

Reviewed 28 july, 2022

So, the most shocking part was that the hotel try to charge me extra for ( I am assuming for their buffet breakfast that was offered ) I actually paid cash for all the items we consumed at the restaurant food+drinks specifically to avoid any confusion. It was a short trip and we only stayed for 3 nights but got to know some of the staff at the restaurant/bar most of them spoke some English ( not expected ) which was nice. The room was clean and had a great view of the mountain and the much shinier 2 towers (SAFI) The room did show signs of wear and could use some updating, I'd love to see another room just to be able to compare and not to have my opinion based only on that room. If I end up going again, will update and let you know. The Hotel management was not quite up to par since we had to do a covid test to get back to the states and we asked for some guidance that never arrived . The food ( breakfast) was a-la-carte eggs omelet nothing extraordinary about it , so maybe you are better off to take their buffet offer ( and not get a surprise charge) The hotel is very nicely placed and connected to the shopping mall via hallway that leads to the elevators , you need a door card to get up to your floor via the elevator ( good security measure ) and there video cameras all over . The mall is a great collection of stores most of them priced at the higher end and there are few restaurants in the mall. The Monterrey population is friendly and hospitable and at night time the neighborhood seems safe . Use common sense and enjoy this great city !

Great location, disappointing service

Reviewed 1 june, 2022

The location is great, and it's why I picked the hotel, but it doesn't make up for the service and experience of staying in the hotel. At first look the rooms are nice but as you settle in you notice it's not quite clean, the mirror in the bedroom in my room has deep scratches at about face level, and there is no mini-fridge. Being able to get cold water in the summer seems like a basic convenience they should have considered in a nice hotel. I went down to the cafe to get some cold water - too bad it was closed at around 5 PM and also closed at 8:30 AM when I wanted a coffee. I went to Starbucks in the mall instead. Getting a bottle of water when housekeeping services your room is hit or miss. Sometimes you get some, sometimes you don't. The shower sometimes takes a long time to give you lukewarm water so you might have to take a cold shower. I do like the bed, it's a firm mattress which I prefer, and comfortable. Being able to cast to the TV is also nice so you can watch some Netflix. The room service menu selection was disappointing compared to the other Monterrey hotel I stayed at nearby (which wasn't great either). The food was bland and overpriced (which to be fair, I expected), and they didn't provide any salt or condiments with my meal other than ketchup. Even if you're tired and looking forward to a night in try to make the effort to make a stop at one of the nearby restaurants (there are many great ones like La Torrada) or get some uber eats. The worst part of my experience is being locked out of my room twice in a week because the battery in the card reader died. It resulted in a wait in a hot hallway twice. The first time I was 30 minutes late to meet my group for dinner. The second time the cold water I bought at the OXXO because their cafe was closed became room temperature by the time they got me in my room. I also told them I was sure it was the battery again but I had to go upstairs and confirm it for them before they got maintenance. None of this resulted in any courtesies, but I also didn't push for any. If you are considering booking this hotel consider how important location is versus comfort and service. I would try another hotel within my budget before I would book again.

In the heart of action!

Super staff...Eduardo at reception is very helpful and so is Concierge service and Room Service. I couldn't have asked for anything more. My Antigen test to fly to US was organised smoothly. The staff which came to do the test from diagnostic lab was extremely courteous and informed about the process. My room on the 16th floor had mountain view and also the pool side view. The lifts are super fast and take you to your floor with the flash of an eyelid.
