We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is dated and in need of updating, the room was small and basic but clean, and the bathroom very small but again perfectly clean. Although basic it had all that we needed, and is literally A 5 minute walk into the town so a great location for the beach and eating out etc. Breakfast was very nice, Judy was so fast and efficient and friendly every day. Breakfast is a quick affair but perfectly adequate and the poached eggs very good. Reasonable value for money with lovely hosts in a very handy location.

First time we had stopped at this hotel. It's convenient for Sandown Station and trains when they eventually get back up and running-only a couple of minutes away. 5 mins walk from a bus route too. The hotel has an on site bar open until late but no beers are available on draft - only bottles and cans. Hotel does food - last orders for for food 20:30 Hotel is a bit dated with dated furniture in rooms but if you want something modern you'd go to the Premier Inns on the island etc. Walls are a bit thin so you can hear every noise coming from the surrounding rooms Towels are are bath towels so are on the small side if you are a larger person like I am - so take your own bath sheets Polystyrene cups for your drinks on the hospitality tray and only wooden sticks - not spoons to make your brews which for me a no no Owners of B & B are friendly There is one hotel room on the ground floor for those with mobility issues for climbing stairs Hotel has parking Breakfast is only served between 0800 and 0900 so we only made it down to breakfast on the last day for checking out. Wish the hotel had the option to book without breakfast Breakfast was OK - if you want cereal they bring it to you along with juices which is a shame really rather than self service. We need to get back to normality and live with covid folks Hotel has free WiFi not that we tried it We paid around 60 quid per night Would I stop there again? Probably not it's just not for me

Great holiday base

My daughter and I were visiting the Island for a family reunion, and were so pleased to find such a great base! Judy and Alex were so friendly and helpful, and everywhere was clean and tidy. The food was wonderful - my brother-in-law said that the gammon steak was the best that he had eaten since moving to the Island several years ago! All in all, a lovely place to stay and good value for money.........

A lovely stay

First time I've stayed there and hope to return again next year!. The single room was a bit "compact" but it was clean, tidy, comfortable bed and had everything I needed. Judy is a fabulous host, makes you feel at home. Nice breakfasts with plenty of choice. Good choice of bar meals and a lovely bar to spend the evenings in. A lovely traditional/classic-style family run hotel.

Had a great time breakfast is a great full English especially the fried bread bar meals very good value for money we had the meat ravioli in tomato sauce with best garlic bread ever tasted Judy is a brilliant hostess and they all make you feel very welcome home from home all ready booked for next yesr
