Al ser el primer hotel de varios en nuestra estadía en el país, fue el primero que contratamos cuando planeábamos el viaje y por eso cuando llegamos casi no nos acordábamos de cómo era el hotel. Y nos llevamos una muy buena sorpresa. Costó encontrarlo al principio porque la dirección que figura en las paginas de bookings es la parte de atrás del hotel, un paredón largo sin entrada. Hay que dar la vuelta y está la entrada. Con estacionamiento cerrado, a 25 minutos en auto del centro y con todo el personal muy amable. Llegamos mas temprano para el check in y nos dejaron hacerlo igualmente. El desayuno es bueno y variado, con frutas, jugos y cosas calientes. Tiene lugar para cenar con comida variada y precios para nada altos. Incluso te lo llevan al cuarto sin ningún costo. Las habitaciones son amplias, al igual que el baño, y limpias. El hotel también tiene una pileta que por cuestiones de clima no usamos pero que se veía interesante para la época de calor. El wifi también es bueno y gratuito. Quizás lo más importante es que en una ciudad tan insegura uno en ningún momento siente eso, por la ubicación pero también por la seguridad propia que da el hotel.

Es un hotel, con un buen servicio y buen restaurante, dado que el chef tiene una estrella michelin, y tiene unos platos bastante interesantes, el desayuno por la mañana es auténtico, con todo tipo de zumos de frutas y tortillas al instante de cualquier estilo. Dispone de una piscina exterior, que en verano puede estar bien. Esta un poco alejado de cualquier centro comercial, por lo que siempre y por seguridad, tienes que pedir un taxi en la recepción.

4 star hotel without hot water!

My stay started out okay at this 4 star hotel, well situated in the Morningside area of town but my last 2 days were not okay on account of a problem with the hot water. After a long day just wanted to unwind and take a long bath, to my surprise there was no hot water. Well these things can happen I guess so I promptly told the reception about it so it could be fixed by the next day. In the morning...Still no hot water. I told the reception again, thinking that they would have the whole day again to fix it but upon returning to the hotel the problem was not resolved. The manager said that the maintenance crew had tried to fix it but fixed the wrong "thing", which means that they never went into any of the rooms to see if they had actually fixed it. They could not switch my room because it was the whole back block of the hotel and the only rooms left also didn't have hot water! I left in the morning with yet another cold shower. Sorry folks but this is unacceptable, even it it meant having someone work on it all night, it should have been fixed. Oh, and also food at the hotel restaurant takes 45 minutes to prepare! Order early! Safe in the room doesn't function either. Change to 2 stars maybe 3 at best.

Great for Business travellers in Sandton

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past 2 months. The staff are great ; the rooms and bathrooms are well appointed, if in need of a soft refurb. The beds are particularly comfortable. I particularly like the shuttle service to and from Sandton Gautrain and the Sandton Convention Centre. Breakfast is available from 6:30am - and its a simple but comprenensive spread of offer.

Here is an amazing gem in the heart of Sandton that blends old fashion attention to detail and a service excellence with an incredible ambiance that makes you wish you could bottle up the experience and take it away. From the welcoming guard to the delightful reception staff to the wonderful Baritas makes this a great all round experience.
