Good value, old class, elderly patrons

The people who were staying at this pretty comfortable hotel (mid-September) were rather elderly, and fitted perfectly into the setting: Art Nouveau features, 20th century elegance and charm in all hotel areas. Our room (113) was OK, not very spacious, but with all amenities you need for a short stay on a tour of the marvellous East coast of Salento or the whole of Puglia. We had a gorgeous view of the sea and the bay from a very spacious terrace, a fine place to relax and watch the sea and people on the promenade going through their Italian evening rituals. Breakfast was OK, considering this is Italy, the private car park (free) is another asset. If you like the privilege of swimming in a sulphuric pool (200 metres away), you can enjoy this pleasure free of charge, using a voucher from the hotel. It certainly did us a lot of good We took the set dinner menu, but this was not really a highlight (neither for atmosphere nor cuisine). Given the very reasonable price we paid, the Palazzo was a hit for us.

The hotel seemed more like a retirement community with very dated decor and uncomfortable beds. You get a discount for the thermal pool but be aware of the sulphur smell which is so strong, it smells as you drive into the town.

Very nice hotel with sea view. We are in room with the bigest balcony and there is amazing view to the sea best i can imagine. Old good hotel like in 70s movie. Big free parking and 1min to the city center

The package deal was worth the money as the SPA services were amazingly helpful. I am giving it an average rating primarily as the hotel lacked in some services and comforts and most of all proper communication. The hotel is old and could use a refurbishing. The restaurant 'pensione' food was a winner. Good food, variety and wonderful restaurant service. Good entertainment.

Well located to explore Salento

Budget hotel positioned above main road as you enter town coming from Otranto. In its day, Santa Cesarea Terme and this hotel must have been the happening places to be. Now a bit tired and when we were there catering mainly for older tourists. Hotel was clean and adequate but at some times of day the sulfur from the Terme was overpowering. Off street parking. Breakfast ok, coffee almost undrinkable.
