Looked like a very nice place based on pictures on the booking side. The truth was a little bit different.. First of all we were the only guests the first night until another couple showed up. Room was not cleaned when we arrived. Had to pay $30 / day for a seaview room even though we had specified this when booking. In addition they charged us with the booking sites fee and refused to take this off the bill (have a case running with booking company to have a refund). Based on the building activity in the surroundings I expect this place to be gone very soon and being replaced by a highriser. As a "bonus" the neighbour property specialized in arranging weddings. Saturday this came as a surprise when we returned to the hotel dead tired after waling Tayrona park in 30deg + heat. The party went on till 3 in the morning. Sleep ? Forget it.

Let me start with the conclusion: clearly not a five, not even a four star hotel, you should not pay more than $200,000/night for the hotel, service is non existent. Avoid the weekends. Pros: 1) Location in front of the beach, the sunset views from the pool or the second floor rooms is amazing. 2) Very private. 3) Pool 4) Late check out Cons: 1) Location: on both sides of this hotel there are similar boutique hotels specialized in weddings, so most likely during weekends you will have to bear at least one party very close, with music very loud till 3 am (at least). It's simply impossible to sleep on the hotel if there is a party next door, sound level was around 70 decibels, try sleeping with that all night ....just because of this issue I would not return on a weekend, on our stay we had this situation on Friday and Saturday .. 2) Service: simply there is not. When we arrive the linen of our bed was dirty, the room was cover in dust and the bathroom was also dirty. Clearly the room had not been cleaned in days. We asked for a change and got it...situation pretty similar upstairs (although much better view) 3) Beach facilities: the hotel has no facilities in the beach, so if you want to lay at the sand you will have to pay the locals who own the tents in front of the hotel. Hotel service (drinks) in the beach is not an option. 4) Food: we only had breakfast, pretty standard not many options. Conclusion: you won't sleep on weekends and pretty bad service. Try relaxing somewhere else ...

Its a very good choice if you want to take a break and be in a silent and comfortable place. I truly recommend this hotel boutique and their pool is magnificent. For sure one of the most romantic places i ever have been.
