If I recall properly, the owner is named Maddie as well. I was a little skeptical of the place but the moment I arrived upon booking, I was greeted by sweet smiles and it was the best of what Filipinos are known for. Hospitality at its finest, and a place you can call home away from home
The discrimination was not acceptable

We have a conference in Binan, Laguna and we stayed for 2 nights. Guest rooms assigned to us was located at the 3rd floor without any toilet and bathroom (T&B). The guests must get down and climbed up to steep and creepy stairs just to pee and brush their teeth. We stayed in Madies Place Guest house as a group. We were 15 guests and there were 4 other foreign guests. The WORST thing was only 5 common T&B for 19 guests.
And other worst thing, they treated us very UNFAIR coz they placed a name tags to each every door of T&B. They assigned 2 T&B for use only by the 4 foreign guests and 3 T&B for use by us 15 local guests. The distribution for the use of T&B was unfairly distributed. We need to wake up as early as 3:30 am local time to queue for the T&B. The management was not hospitable for local guests like us. We feel discriminated and discrimination was not acceptable.
We are so disappointed and price we paid for was really not worth it. Don’t stay in this Place. and the following were more disappointment:
- Hot water constantly running out.
- Bathroom is not clean. Bathroom mat were not being replace everyday. Toilet sink were clogged.
- No bathroom inside the room only common bathroom which are located at the ground floor (Bedroom are located at the 3rd floor. Ventilation is poor in bathroom (No window). Very inconvenient.
- No cooking, for you to order to their expensive food. Food was very expensive, serving size was very small and totally not delicious.
- No bath towels, no shampoo and conditioner, no soap only hand soap, no sponge to clean any dishes
- Air conditioning unit could not cool the room immediately, did not meet the capacity of the room

My wife and I stayed at Madie's Place with our three daughters for 5 days while we were visiting family in Laguna. We even brought my Wife's Mother and Brother to stay with us at Madie's so we could all be together.
Staying at Madie's felt like staying with family. They were so accommodating and friendly, but never intrusive. My brother-in-law was seriously ill and mobility-impaired and they did everything possible to make his stay comfortable.
The room was basic but very clean and comfortable, and the whole house has a warm and welcoming feel to it. I love that you can help yourself to drinks and snacks any time and just write it on your own tab to settle at the end of your stay.
Thanks Madie, Geraldine and Maritess for making this stay very special for us.
By the way, Madie's Place is the perfect accommodation if you're planning to visit Enchanted Kingdom, as it's only 10 minutes down the road.

My boyfriend and I went there from Enchated Kingdom. We went there to celebrate his after birthday. The place was quite small, but it was lovely. I especially liked its atmosphere during night time. It felt romantic. We stayed at Room 3, and although there werent much in the room, it was something that my boyfriend and I are already settled with. We werent really picky, but my boyfriend seemed to like the place. It was homey.
We ordered breakfast and we had it at the garden, arranged by the staff there. They said they wanted to make it romantic, i was actually quite embarrassed but it was such a nice gesture of them. They were really sweet. We enjoyed our breakfast btw.
No complaints whatsoever. Everything was lovely and my boyfriend would love to go back there!
No Proper Reservation System

First, I am disappointed with the way things are turning out even if I planned it super ahead of time. I am planning a birthday celebration for my wife and I want to make it perfect. I sent a message to them via Facebook on April 17th and I was happy to get a response. I asked to be reserved but they said that they will get back to me. One month after, I followed up via Facebook, and my message was just seen. 7 days after, I sent another message and this time, they said that its fully booked until the end of July.
I get it! Maybe, they got a bigger client that made them cancel other reservations, too. And I'm giving them that. They have this right to choose the clients that they want to accommodate. Have I been informed earlier, I could've made changes to my plan.
Again, I am disappointed with the turn of events and how my plans are not working so far, but I guess, this place is still awesome from the pictures and reviews. Too bad I have not experienced it.
