In June 2021, my niece reserved two rooms. My room had a faulty hot water control in the shower. It was very hot and no ability to adjust. There was also no phone in the room to contact the front desk, if as a senior, I burned myself. I,also, did not have a microwave to reheat a takeout. We were charged about $245 for this inferior and unsafe room. The woman at the front desk gave me two names of whom I should contact with my complaint. I have yet to hear from them. Housekeeping and the front desk were courteous to me.
Peanuts and mystery stains
Reviewed 29 july, 2021
There were peanuts on the floor, and dark mystery stains were the first thing I noticed upon arrival. I understand stains happen, but atleast flip the cushions for appearances (the reverse side was unstained) weird residues on various surfaces, one I think was nail polish, so I wasn't too worried about that one, the rest remained unidentified. There was a spot were I could seen gum or something sticky ground into the carpet. I wasn't expecting much given the price, but atleast basic hygiene. I only saw one employee during my stay, the place appeared gravely understaffed.
If you just need the basics

The hotel is a little rough around the edges but so is the neighborhood. Room was quite worn. Missing iron, hairdryer didn't work, no light panel over fluorescent tube, & broken latch for door. Paper thin walls and the mattress died years ago. One of the perimeter doors was always propped open, so safety is iffy. On the plus side the staff was friendly and it's a ten minute straight shot to downtown Santa Rosa.
Would stay again

First they are dog friendly which is a plus. Bad they put all the dogs on the first floor so if makes walking down the hall challenging. Rooms are carpeted and our room smelled like dog urine but it was tolerable. They did offer tea and coffee service although we did not use them. Out of all the staff we saw only 2 were friendly - overnight staff were rude like they didn't want to be there. We had a credit card snafu but it was resolved in a couple of days. Rooms were comfortable, beds ok (my comforter had holes in it) but over all it was a decent stay
Really bad for handicapped person
Reviewed 28 october, 2020
(1) Handicapped room is maximum distance possible fro the lobby and from handicapped parking. (2) Wifi did not work in the handicapped room. (3) Staff was indifferent and not helpful. When I asked why the handicapped room was so far from the lobby, the clerk said "I didn't design the building." Did not apologize or offer to pass on my comments. Piece of food (not anything I had with me) under the coffee table in my room when I occupied it - clearly the staff did not clean properly. Will not stay again and will recommend AGAINST this hotel and any other Quality Inn based on this unsatisfactory experience.
