Amazing service and location

This is one of my favorite hotels in the world I’ve stayed at - and it’s mainly due to the excellent service provided by every staff member I encountered in this hotel. From the moment I checked in and was offered a beverage of my choice, shown a map of the area which was explained in good detail, and sent to my very clean suite with a beautiful panoramic view I felt at home. The lounge was great too with very attentive and hard working employees and tasty food. The location is really perfect. There’s some great restaurants, a very nice Starbucks with a rooftop, and the paulista avenue is just 1 block away! I will definitely be returning to this hotel - mainly because of the employees who make it a great experience. Thank you (Obrigado)!

Nice hotel, mediocre service

The Renaissance is a bustling hotel in a very lively part of Sao Paulo. We stayed in a Club Level Madison Suite with King Bed and City View (a corner room with a wrapping window) on the 14th floor. The room was very nice and the rest of the hotel was too. So why my low rating? Two reasons: [1] Check-in time was at 3 pm, and we actually arrived. We had two wait for two full hours in the club-level lobby until our room was ready, without much of an explanation, apology or any comping. This was less of a premium experience for a premium room. [2] While the hotel is heavily frequented by English-speaking guests, the wait staff in the breakfast lounge spoke very little English. Not a big deal, but somewhat surprising, particularly in comparison to other luxury hotels in Sao Paulo.

Great hotel for business needs. Efficient, plenty of areas for informal meetings, outside the existing hotel meeting rooms. Nice bar, good pool, comfortable rooms. Hotel restaurant could be better but the bar food is quite good. Location not ideal for walking but close to Av. Paulista.

Wonderful hotel...great location

My husband and I had a fabulous visit in Sao Paulo. The staff was very accommodating. We'd especially like to thank Jade Melhem (concierge) who arranged all of our tours (with Be My Guest Sao Paulo) and Vinicius who was the club lounge attendant at the Renaissance. We had a corner room (2102)...the view was amazing with a comfortable seating area. The large bathroom was large and the bed comfortable.

Superb location

We stayed in room 1709, which is one of the corner suites. Bed is separated from the couch/ living room. The large window in the bedroom is nice but the bathroom felt small and dark since there was no window or natural light in the bathroom. Shower was small. Room was a bit dated but not too bad. Amenities are great! Rooms are cleaned daily, small water bottles replenished. We also tried the included breakfast. Any egg order (omelette, fried eggs, etc) need to be ordered with waiter. It can take a bit , especially if it’s busy during the breakfast prime time. Location of hotel is superb. One block away from Avenue Paulista, 10 min walk from the Contemporary Art museum, stores and supermarket are in 5 min walking distance. 20 min drive from Congonhas airport. Staff are friendly, bar at the lobby can be crowded. Valet guys are attentive. Great hotel to stay at if you’d like to stay central in São Paolo.
