Short but very pleased

Beautiful hotel, great location, love the room layout, awesome pool on rooftop with a bar! We only stayed one night and was so sad to leave so soon. We walked to a delicious Mexican restaurant, El Melvins and had ice cream close by. We also drove to Lido Beach which was a great beach with tons of amenities!!

Nice Aloft

Reviewed 28 february, 2023

I have been to this property a few times. The swimming pool is on the rooftop with DJ and a bar. Also, they have a Jacuzzi next to there. The rooms are very modern I had a nice view of the Swimming pool. On the first floor at the lobby, there offered a nice bar scene the XYWZ where you have a nice pool table to enjoy. Thank you for all.. we ll back soon

A motel 6 disguised as an Aloft hotel

Reviewed 12 february, 2023

Our Room smelled funky and I am not sure if it was the carpet or bedding or whatever, but it stunk. The Aloft rooms are small, dark, cheaply designed, with only a view of the inner courtyard which is downright ugly. Based on their crazy winter rates of $450 a night this hotel is a rip off for what you get. Pool area is barely maintained with some umbrellas that werebroken. There is nothing like sitting by the pool and listening to a loudmouth bartender sounding like she just came out of rehab. The pool crowd looked like passengers who just came off a carnival cruise ship and ready to have more yahoo fun. Breakfast options are identical to the 7-11 version of the same thing, except 7-11 breakfast options are fresher. I.e., disgusting. Room cleaning is only every other day which no one informed us of when we checked in. If you extra towels just come on down and ask for more (for your $450 a night room) the clerk said! Coffee is decent and staff try to be engaging but there is nothing else to write home about. I wonder if this property was really intended to be a motel six because it sure does feel like one. Actually a motel six might be nicer.

Handicap friendly

Reviewed 9 february, 2023

Handicap friendly one night stay. Room very easy to get around in wheel - chair. Bed height one of the best I've had. Thermastat too high on wall to use from wheel- chair. Bathroom very usable with roll in shower and built in seat. CAUTION- shower floor slippery. They need to fix this b/c a fall with injury is coming to someone. Lobby with great places inside and out to sit and enjoy your drink from great bar.

Good Hotel in Downtown Sarasota

Reviewed 5 january, 2023

+ Good location in Downtown Sarasota + Very good service (flexible, found us a room with 2 queen beds for 4 even though we accidentally booked a King room. Also allowed us to find parking on the street to skip the valet overnight) + Good price around $200 per night for Downtown + Good items available in room (safe, fridge, 4 sets of towels) + Allowed my status for late checkout at 4PM - Not as modern with room has not good lighting (no bedside lamps) AC was old, and bathroom only a shower linen cover, carpeted hallways - No complimentary breakfast (you can only order a limited menu at the reception)
