Misled by AAA Rating

AAA is seriously overrated. It pains me to say this, because I grew up following the suggestion of AAA. There is so much wrong with this hotel there is not enough room to list everything here. I can only say that I will be giving AAA a good dressing down. My wife and I checked out this morning and as we walked out the door, we commented on how nice the employees were, but we were so glad to be leaving the hotel.

Needs updating and looking a bit tired. Staff was very friendly and the room of very good size and clean. Just needs an update allover. Wifi worked well and there was plenty of parking. It was also close to a few good restaurants.

There was mold and mildew in the bathroom on the floor and shower curtain. No towels were in the bathroom and when we called the front desk they told us to come down and get them. The freezer was clogged with ice and need of a defrost. When leaving the complementary coffee was cold and leftover from the day before. Poorly run hotel!

We booked this because we have stayed at other SpringHill Suites previously with good experiences. This was just awful. After sorting out baggage, I placed one bag on the floor with some clean clothes on top and went to take a shower. When I came out and picked up my bag, there were bugs on my clean clothes! My boyfriend told me he had picked the same bugs off of his leg and he was on the other side of the room on the couch. We shook everything out and there were just a load of them everywhere. After much wrangling with the front desk we were finally moved to another Marriott property because we refused to stay here. The overall room and hallway carpets were not super clean but this was BEYOND bad; we found them all over once we started looking--we did NOT bring them there. Very unfortunate late night.

Worst Marriott property I have ever stayed in! Desk staff was unprofessional, breakfast was terrible, and their elevator malfunctioned requiring it’s customers to manhandle their own luggage down stairs. A review of the stairs at the east end of the property were unsafe as they were in a poor state of repairs. From what I could observed management of this property could care less about its condition. I will never book this property again.
