Extremely close to everything! Comfortable room with kitchenette. Friendly staff, clean room. Pet friendly! Close to many squares and park across the street is perfect for walking the dog. Great restaurants within walking distance.

Winter vacation getaway

Loved the location of the property, it was centrally located could walk to pretty much anywhere but there was a trolley company rep in the lobby so that was helpful. The hot breakfast was nice but a little basic, Residence Inn (main extended stay competitor) definitely does a better job. The evening social, was also a nice touch, Leslie (the manager) was very generous and ALWAYS there and very kind as well!! Our room was situated comfortably with a kitchenette. The absolute best part of our stay was Holly at the bar!!! She was extremely friendly and hospitable. She put up with my husband and I bickering a few times but was always smiling, laughing and just having a good time which made us feel like we were at home!!! She’s definitely the definition of quality customer service. Thank you Holly 😊

We stayed here primarily because it's dog friendly, and an IGH hotel, daily complimentary breakfast, in addition to the location, it also had guarantee parking on premises or in the garage right behind the hotel. Rooms- We had two rooms as it was 8 (4 adult & 4 children) of us traveling, the rooms are a little run down when it comes to the bathrooms, the rooms itself were fine, nice comfortable beds. One of our room had the sink cabinet below rotted & with roaches, but we didn't notice until day of check out & we didn't tell anyone at that point. Housekeeping- was limited service, which I understand & we didn't want any housekeeping services, but the housekeeper that was on my floor wouldn't give us towels, instead told to go get them at the front desk, which we did. Staff- The front desk, bartender & ladies that prep the breakfast staff were friendly. Breakfast was o.k., but they kept running out of scramble eggs and then brought mini omelets, some days no bacon only link sausage, our (4) kids had only cereal to eat, we ended up going out to breakfast. I recommend they have a more consistent breakfast offering. Happy hour reception Monday- Wednesday was not good at all, cheap wine & the appetizers were horrible. We experience it on Wednesday ended up buying drinks at the bar, maybe provide better wine & no food, most IGH hotels I've stayed only offer Wine and it's fine, but decent wine & stop using plastic cups for wine The bar did not have any decent happy hour specials The lobby- was nicely kept and decorated with Christmas tree etc.… We did have our Christmas morning gift opening in the lobby by the Christmas tree for the kids and it was quite nice. overall it was fine experience & I would recommend, if you have a pet and parking is of concern.

Few masks, dated rooms

Location was great & staff was friendly & helpful BUT few wore masks. The woman working at the breakfast & happy hour never wore a mask! The carpeting in the suite was stained & worn. The cabinets in the kitchen & bathroom do not have handles or knobs so with age the edges are sticky to the touch…..gross. Without a major update to the rooms and better COVID protocols I would not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Location!!!

Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District Hotel: I’d love to give this hotel 5 stars because it’s close, however there are just a few little things that take a star from the rating. Let’s start with the staff, they are amazing, from the front desk to the breakfast server. The location is prime for walking the river area, as well as nearby sites. There are areas of the hotel that show wear and tear even though it’s been remodeled on the inside. The biggest issue is the slamming of doors. I could hear and feel the doors slamming in my room by other guests. My headboard bounced many times when someone else slammed their door. The onsite parking is a plus, the Mon--Wednesday social hour with apps and drinks is a nice touch, the daily breakfast varies from omelets/potatoes/bacon and sausage to biscuits and gravy. I was able to do laundry mid trip which was also a benefit, as was the kitchen area in the room. The main issue I have with the hotel is the staff stole 3 mini Pepsi's from me. How silly is that…the downside is the lack of trust in the staff now. Overall, after looking at some of the other comparable priced hotels on the outskirts of the historical area, this one was the nicest, safest location, away from bus stops/vagrants, in that price range, however I would not pay a premium to stay here.
