Definitely the worst place I have ever stayed at! Upon check in I was not given access to my room because the booking was under my friend's name who had not arrived yet (although the hotel had been notified I would arrived first, room was fully paid and I offered them to take a deposit from my credit card). After 2 hours of discussing they provided me with the room which was humid, dirty and had a small bed although we had booked a Queen Size. Next to the room there was a common area w kitchen (dirty!!). At 9:30pm a group of 6 drunk people started to cook, scream and put their music on maximum volume. The hotel staff did not do anything about it so I ended up leaving the hotel because it was unbearable. I have stayed in a lot of hostels and guest houses and never expierenced this kind of noise by other guests. The next day I went back (togehther with my friend who had made the reservation) and there was nobody at the front desk to let us in, our calls were ignored, her number was even blocked. We had paid for 4 days in total and did not stay one night. Of course we never got a refund or a call to let us know if the noise situation was solved, so we could have stayed at least 2 nights. Had to pay double and wasted lots of time trying to check in.
BE CAREFUL. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Not the Sayulita vibe as we’ve experienced elsewhere in this beautiful town for more than two months. This place was creepy and dirty-not at all like the photos. Rude staff. Rude owners. Definitely the worst hospitality experience I’ve had staying at hundreds of places across the world-I’m a 14-year hospitality consultant and absolutely understand the struggles in the industry. I extend all the grace I can. If you’re curious what you’re getting into check out the photos from our conversation-attacks us for being from LA, hates on vegans, English-speakers bringing tourist money in, and I’m pretty sure has no respect for women. Note our tone (which was constructive) versus his.

I chose to stay here to teach online and it said quiet with good wifi. I needed to teach at 12.30 pm so asked for an early check in. I sent messages by cell, WhatsApp, email and through Booking.com. I received a response via Booking asking what time I need to arrive. I sent a message back saying 12 noon. No response beyond that so thought all good. Upon arrival a flat refusal by repeating “Not possible, not possible..” then “There’s someone sleeping in there..” then to “there’s more cost, always more cost if early...why didn’t you ask how much more..?!” I asked if i could be helped out by having a quiet area to teach or to have a dirty room whilst changeover occurred. Nope! No listening, no message checking. I cancelled. I’d got a taxi from San Pancho and had to find a place in Sayulita in 20 mins which cost more. Unhelpful and ignorant - no listening, and obviously lying.
Amazing views great place on Gringo Hill!!

I have been staying here since this place was built. Hard to find places like this on the hill close to town anymore I would highly recommend!! The staff is so helpful and the rooms are kept super clean. The view and patio is one you will never forget!

If you want full quiet this is not the place. If you want to feel safe, especially traveling as a woman, this is located close to downtown with friendly/helpful people who work there. It's not Boho Chic, but it does the job. I would return. Internet is solid.
