They already have "Quality" in the name.

We originally booked for two nights and then three days before the trip we thought we could go early for an extra day. The booking website increased the price dramatically, but a personal call to the desk put us in contact with Connie who added an extra night with our original cost. Thank you Connie!
Room was pleasant. Had an odd smell...not smoke, pet, mold, paint, just a weirdness. Once in and settled we didnt notice it anymore. Mattress cover was comfortable, but slipped off each night. Staff was always courteous and pleasant. Location was perfect to get to local attractions as well as incidental shopping and eating options all within walking distance. Very pleased with the stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean. Breakfast was lacking with cellophane prepackaged pastries. Tub was missing a plug (209). It would only take a little extra to bump this hotel up in reviews. See Quality Inn Boston, VA and how owner has made improvements. Shepherdstown is a wonderful destination.
One night stay for a wedding nearby

Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Fast food, pharmacy, and grocery store very close by (easy walking distance). Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check-in. We had a two-double-bed room. Room was clean and average size. Bathroom was small with the sink in the entry area, not in the bathroom itself. Bed was comfortable. HVAC was ok, but did not have a constant-fan-on feature when using heat or cool, which we could've used because a dog in the room next door would occasionally bark. We didn't use the tv and the wifi was not that great. We didn't try the breakfast but others said it was "meh". Overall, it was ok to use as a place to sleep and change clothes.
Modest room but clean

I was concerned after reading some reviews, however, our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Definitely an older hotel as far as decor, but if you are looking for a less expensive place, the Quality Inn is fine. We were hiking/biking the C&O Trail and decided not to camp over the weekend and this hotel was a good alternative
Good option for bike/kayak trip

Good price for 2-night weeknight stay while we biked the C&O trail and checked out kayaking in the Potomac. We are in our 50s and 60s, so like comfort. This inn had quiet clean rooms, comfortable beds and everything in the room worked! That's worth plenty to me.
There is a dampness odor in the room at the entrance door, but no mold. We did not use the free breakfast as we like something hot and substantial (note: all cereal was sweetened - not my preference. Also, tea water tasted like coffee, a sign that at some point coffee was kept in that urn. For a tea drinker, that's not acceptable.
Liked the info from desk staff and cleaning staff; liked the refrig with freezer and microwave in room.
