Snowpocalypse
I only intended to stay one short night but was stranded for a week during the snowpocalypse of Feb 2021. We had power the entire week but no water. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful through the entire week. How they even made it in to work, I don't know. Water bottles were provided for free and barrels of pool water were placed on each floor so that guests could flush toilets and whatnot. Thank you so much for making our stay as comfortable as possible in very trying circumstances.
a night to not remember or forget
maybe it was the constant noise of the trains 50 feet away coming though our room, or the spotlight lighting up our dark room, it was dark with no lights, couldn't wait to leave and we thought West Monroe was bad, in a pinch stayed here, won;t get pinched again-friendly girl, horrible place
Nice hotel!
We only stayed here one night while passing through Shreveport. The hotel was new, clean and very nice. The bathroom was real big which was a plus for me. We would definitely stay here again. We would recommend it to everyone.
Only Two things going for this Place
I'll start with the only two good things about this place. 1. the people are nice at the front desk. 2. It's close to the LSU Medical Center Shreveport. Now for the bad. It's filthy with dirt in the A/C and when you 1st turn it on (apparently they unplug everything in the room between stays to save money in these rough Covid time) and the A/C stinks like mildew for hours. There is trash and dust all over and the room is dinged and especially around the nasty fridge and bathroom. We checked out after our second day (unfortunately we had already made reservations for two nights as we had a family member seriously ill in the LSU Med CTR,) and moved to Home 2 just a few miles away in a much nicer area and still only a few mins away from the Med Center. We felt nasty the whole time there. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Also, if you need to kill tie and watch TV, good luck. There aren't may stations and the ones they have don't always work. Also for the so called breakfast, I had hot tea each morning as they had nothing else I could or wanted to eat. If you like strawberry yogurt, you'll love it here as that's about all they had. Do yourself a favor and find a place a little further away....
Disaster
As I booked my hotel through hotels.com on December 30th for February 14th on February 14th. The hotel calls me and tells me they are overbooked so I will not have a room. We were already packed loaded and ready for our special weekend trip. And after a couple of hours of Phone time we found that they could accommodate us for a room but not like what we needed. But as we didn't have a choice we went. When we got there, they had us a room, but the following morning they had for wrestling teams with at least 40 teenage boys who ate all the breakfast packing it in Tupperware bowls Ziploc bags and taking it with them and the hotel staff could not keep up with breakfast. So that was another big disappointment
