One good many disappointing

Reviewed 14 may, 2022

We were greeted warmly with a lovely young woman with long black hair, excellent English. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast staff on the last day were not interested in providing service of any kind. I asked for whole wheat bread, was told there is none. I am unsure how a hotel can not have whole wheat bread? The counters are laden with cakes, croissants and an array of sugar inspired food. The scrambles eggs are a big glob of something not recognizable as eggs. Basically terrible food. When we returned last night about 9pm and asked for water as it had not been replaced, we were told, there is a vending machine, we only supply one bottle per person upon check in. For the cost of water, 43 Euros, I would suggest it be replaced each day. The final experience, we stood for 6 minutes to check out while the receptionist was on the phone. No acknowledgment of ‘one moment please’ or taking our room cards, just ignored us until she hung up the phone. We left, I returned to ask a question, she was no where in sight. Terrible wifi, kept dropping. Our charges would go to 20% and shut off. Not certain if it was the electricity or a limit to what could be used? Our experience was less than mediocre. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it until the staff has more training.

Very nice hotel, close to old town Siena

This hotel was very upscale, spacious, comfortable and quite cost-effective. Wonderful shower for Europe! The front desk staff spoke English very well and were very helpful and friendly. A little difficulty with the bar, but you could still get drinks and snacks there. I would recommend somewhere else for breakfast, though, as it is not included and is not up to other hotel standards. Overall, extremely happy with this facility!

Great stay in Siena

Reviewed 11 october, 2019

The hotel was booked as a luxury escape and we received great value for money The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the restaurant food and service very good in fact we ate in every evening! The reception was always well staffed and helpful A bus stop outside meant great transport into Siena which is a beautiful place and we went each day to take in the culture and experience Just sitting in the main square with an aperol spritz was heaven watching the world go by!

Not 4 Star

If you like flat tonic in your gin (not once but twice); poor food; sleeping in 30 deg (appalling air con), dreadful water pressure; dingy room then this is the place for you. To be fair the reception area was very nice and the receptionist was very pleasant. We shifted out after one night and went next door to the Sheraton (same price) foregoing the balance of our prepaid package. The Sheraton was lovely.
