Staff at the cliff spa were so rude

Reviewed 16 august, 2022

The staff at the front desk of the spa were so rude to us. Had condescending remarks and made us feel like we were the idiots. This is the type of place that the customer is always right, but instead we were made to feel stupid and wrong. The sauna room doesn’t get hot enough to be a real sauna, probably from the windows. When we asked about this we were told we were just setting the temp wrong. Came to find out we were doing it correctly the entire time. The rest of the spa was nice, but the front desk girls could be taught some things.

If your staying in a condo, there is no air conditioning. one star hotels have air conditioning? best western has air conditioning? the worst hotels I have been to have air conditioning? I will never spend money here ever again.

The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird Has Gone Downhill in Customer Service & Maintenance!

Reviewed 12 august, 2022

Before you book, read and understand the fine print! I booked directly on the Snowbird site. Went there for a conference, and pre-paid the first night. That was fine; however, when I arrived late Sunday, I told the front-desk person at check-in that I did not need the 4th night. I had found out, before I arrived, that the conference ended Wednesday, and that my colleagues had booked in Salt Lake City a dinner, and a client meeting early Thursday. Therefore, I could not use the room, and really was shocked that The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, Utah would not accommodate. I travel a lot and was surprised they would not amend the reservation. Marriott and Hilton would not hesitate. I thought possibly the night person did not have all the info, but in fact when I asked about it the next morning, Caroline Roush, the Front Desk Manager, would not accommodate. On the last day I was there, I thought since I cannot use the room now, could I get a voucher to use it another time as I live in Utah. I went to the front desk to inquire. Ms. Roush thought about it and went to the back area to ask her boss. She came back and said they could not provide a voucher either. In my opinion, a very poor customer experience. Sadly, the property has gone downhill. A lot of deferred maintenance. The fitness room has a small fan in the otherwise sweltering un-air-conditioned heat. I would love to see the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird put the hundreds of dollars for the unused room to use to clean those dirty windows, so the “Mountain View” is actually viewable. (see pics)

Good and clean hotel, average service

Brought my family for an overnight stay. Nice and clean hotel, good view. The whole building lost electricity the morning we checked out so we had to move our luggage walking down the stairs and the front desk didn’t care…

Highly Disappointed !!!

I nice property located in Cottonwood Canyon with beautiful views ended up disappointing. The main reason for the stay was to celebrate a birthday and get away from the city and relax on the rooftop pool. I have never been to this property and I ended up upgrading the room to a larger suite which was very nice and large but had wine stains on the carpet. I saw a sign on the elevator stating if you wanted to use the rooftop pool you had to make a reservation and pay additional fees. This caught us by surprise as we thought it was included with the stay and the charge of the resort fees. We opted to use the standard pool located on the 3rd floor. We arrived and there was a sign that said pardon the noise while work was being done on one of the hot tubs. We ended up not using the pool at all! The unbearable constant loud noise of the jackhammer was too much for what was supposed to be a relaxing stay turned out to be a bust. I wish we would have been more informed during the booking process otherwise, I would have chosen a different time to come or a different location for this particular birthday getaway.
