10x stars for amazing customer service - Dean
Reviewed 27 november, 2021
My wife and I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Princeton NJ while on vacation. We were both blown away by the customer service. Dean, the overnight front desk manager, remembered our name, and went above and beyond to help us. I honestly think you guys have an amazing employee. Dean is seriously the best. We look forward to staying at this location again, mainly because of the customer service we received. Dean took such great care of us! Thanks for everything, Dean! Randi and Jess
A perfect place to stay!

This hotel is perfectly located for those who wish to visit the Grounds for Sculpture, The Robbinsville Mandir, Princeton University and town, as my family and I did. The care and dedication the entire staff dis[plays in providing excellent service is remarkable. Well Done!
Exceptional stay at the Hilton Hampton Inn Princeton amid a cheer camp bonanza!
Reviewed 8 november, 2021
Recently I had the opportunity to do a certification for gov contracts and stayed at the Hampton Inn Princeton. It was actually a repeat stay since their renovations and I am always pleased to be provided the same room and bed type on each stay, as well. As a repeat Diamond guest the staff is most professional and engaging and make every effort to remedy any issues, bar none. The management of Ms Melissa Gelchick and her team are exceptional in their efforts to accommodate all guests irregardless of Hilton stature. In fact, with a recent return stay, I was unaware the property was ‘pet friendly’ and although I had a few issues w/over zealous cheerleaders and even an abandoned pooch left in the neighboring room unattended by its owner —-the staff went above and beyond to make my stay and concurrent stay—-rewarding and productive! Rooms are immaculate and adhere to the Hilton Clean Stay protocols without exception. I don’t require my room to be serviced but it is apparent the staff makes every effort to honor requests “upon demand.” The breakfast is convenient and provides options for light fare and even hot entrees and the market offers spirits including select local wines. I would recommend the property as it exceeds the standards for Hampton Inns and the platform beds and Tempur pedic mattresses are what keep this traveler returning. Kudos to Melissa and her staff and that of Ms Ivette the Director of Sales for assisting me with this successful repeat, concurrent stay and continued room preference…my family and I will return again in the very near future for the upcoming holidays and I know their experience will be as fulfilling as my own!
You won't get what you reserve

Whenever I travel, I always try to stay at a Hilton property. For this trip, my family was staying at the hotel next door, and yet I selected this Hilton because I'm a loyal customer. I am also a Diamond member. I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm for my stay. Unlike previous stays, I was not offered the opportunity to select my room using the app. Additionally, the ability to use my phone as the room key did not work, so I needed to stop at the front desk. I was not welcomed as a Hilton member, as I typically am at other properties. I also was not offered any of the snacks/beverages that were on display for Gold/Diamond members. I was tired, so I let this go. The front desk staff was unable to get the room key to activate on my phone, so after giving me a physical key, I went to my room. I had reserved a room with a King sized bed and sofa. When I opened the door, I realized that they had given me an accessible room. This room had a queen sized bed and no sofa. I called the front desk from my room and expressed concern/disappointment that this was not the room that I reserved. The front desk staff told me that when you make reservations, you are only reserving that you have a room, not the type of room. I voiced disagreement with this policy, pointing out the stupidity of it, since there are different rates for different types of rooms. Also, if I were a family of 4, this new room would not meet my family's needs. Since we were only a party of 2, the hotel took it upon themselves to change my reservation. Additionally, there was no mention of this change when I checked in at the front desk. Although the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, I will not return to this establishment.

This is actually my third time here and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. From the courteous behavior of the front staff to the clean room not to mention a very comfortable bed oh my goodness I had the best sleep here all three times. I’ve stayed here with my family and also by myself. I first chose this place because of the price, and the proximity to Princeton university where we dropped our daughter off. The plus for us were everything I mentioned above . Oh yeah there is free parking throughout the very huge parking lot , and they give you a to go bag for breakfast but honestly there’s a lot of places to eat along the way.
