Please Do Better
I don’t like writing negative reviews. I’ll start with the positive. Blake at the front desk was nice. That’s about it. We were exhausted, and just wanted a clean place to sleep. The card said to “rest assured. Lisa -clean team.” Lisa absolutely did not clean our room. We first noticed that there were water rings on the night stand, but I’m not sure what liquid it actually was. It was sticky. We cleaned that. Next, we noticed that the toilet seat was very questionable. My husband said maybe it was cleaner dried and stuck to it. Hair was also stuck to it. We cleaned that. Then we just started to feel gross, like nothing had been cleaned. Even the sheets smelled “musty.” We paid $145 for this. We were so disappointed. We are never going to stay at another holiday inn. This is our second bad experience this year. We stayed at one in either Vermont or New Hampshire (can’t remember) earlier this year that was equally gross. I just can’t do it again.
Port in the Storm
On May 25, 2020 (Memorial Day) while traveling from Florida to Western NY my husband and I experienced car problems and had to stop for the night. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The room was clean, the beds were ultra-comfortable, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. They really made a screwed-up situation tolerable and even allowed us to checkout a little late.
Heading home
Check in was a breeze, very friendly Fast efficient. Room is nice, clean,big comfortable bed. Only 1 Keurig cup for two people so I ask at front desk for more and it took awhile but they gave us more We brought our own coffee creamer because we like a lot of cream and 1 packet never cuts it. Nice clean pool are. Lots of shopping near by and a great Mexican restaurant also a steak house.
Great Hotel
This hotel is an average HIE but what makes this hotel better than any other is the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. As a frequent traveler, customer service goes a long way to make a work trip enjoyable. I have hosted several meetings in this hotel with complicated technology and it has worked beautifully each and every time. 3rd floor rooms have been renovated with wonderful beds, comfortable mattresses and oversize tubs. If this hotel is a choice in the area for you, the customer service is above expectations. It is near a lot of restaurants and shopping plus a few miles from downtown and about 10 minutes from the airport.
As expected.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Check in was quick. Room was clean. Beds felt to be in the hard side. Breakfast below average. Close to restaurants. Stayed with a larger group so may not have been our first choice.
