Worst hotel in Rapid.

Reviewed 16 april, 2022

Especially if you are a poc. I noticed how friendly and talkative they were to a couple in front of me, who did not look like me, and when I got up there it was as if I had insulted them. Worst hotel in Rapid. Better off trying a hotel that is not run by a racist conspiracy peddling wacko. This hotel does not deserve your service or money the quality alone was terrible. This is from a stay in March. I felt compelled to write this after seeing the recent events surrounding the hotel and wanted anyone who read this that this behavior is not new. It's just known now.

Great place to stay.

The recent road construction makes it a little hard to get to. But the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Most of the recent reviews are politically motivated, ignore them. It's a clean place that is in mostly good repair, it's a little dated. If that or the political drama bothers you, don't stay. Otherwise, realize it's a good place to spend a night on the road.

We walked out!

Reviewed 21 november, 2021

So we were in the lobby and I noticed several magazines through out the lobby that were pushing conspiracy theories and radical propaganda. I pointed it out to the woman at the front desk because I thought someone might have put it there with out their knowledge. No, apparently that was not the case. The woman came from behind the desk and went on a tyrannical rant about how we no longer live in a democracy, the President wasn’t really elected and it’s a good thing that insurgents stormed the Capital. We were shocked and immediately left for a different motel. So I guess if you are looking for a place to hold your Q convention, or whatever those nuts call it, then maybe that’s the place for you, but I will never go anywhere near that place!

Front desk need training

When we arrived we were completely ignored by the woman running the desk. Three other families were also there being ignored. She was on the phone. After waiting 20 minutes we left and had lunch. We came back and two people on the phone ignoring us. We found it rude and unprofessional. Not a good start, however after finally being checked in we found our room clean and comfortable. The maids and other staff around the property were kind and friendly. The Perkins attached to the hotel was busy but efficient with really nice staff. The Cheers bar was closed and that was disappointing also. If you close an amenity you should put that on your website. The location is great. .

Just ok

The photos are well doctored. This property is in need of much updating. Carpet is stained, worn and cut up. Beds ok for one person but two made them a canoe. The rooms are clean but walls are thin. At check in we found we had a $100 hold placed on our credit card which is refunded when leaving. We’re not here to party, we just wanted a clean quiet sleep. If I was booking again I’d look at anything off exit 60 or 61, the newer properties and take the higher priced rooms. This is a you get what you pay for stay.
