ideal for a stop over
came to Doncaster for a funeral and was surprised how posh the hotel was and for the price and location right in the town centre the rooms was clean and the shower as well and breakfast was served in the room the only thing i was concerned about is the lift size how it manages to have five people there i dont know apart from that it a nice clean hotel would definitely visit again
Avoid
First time going and staying out since lockdown and what a disappointment, started off lovely, great check in, lovely room, but on return was woken up at 2am by our neighbor putting his drug order in, then woke up him chopping up his drug order, then inviting his pall’s up, more chopping going on, then our other neighbors coming back singing at the top of their voices and having a lovely old time in their room, packed our bags up and ordered a taxi home at 3am, upon check out the receptionist says we can go and ask them to keep it down, and we patrol the corridors for noise, well not on that night !! Then proceeded to charge me full price, can’t do anything off the bill “because you booked direct” ?? Fair enough the hotel can’t help who stays there but young lads running in and out at that time of night isn’t on !! No follow up from them the next day either !! Won’t be staying again
Very clean and great staff
Stayed here following a social event in town. The room was a great size, nicely presented & spotlessly clean. The beds are sooo comfy. The Town Centre location was perfect as we needed to call in a couple of times to drop things off. And due to the double windows it was so quiet. Even on a busy Saturday night I didnt hear a sound in the room. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again and will highly recommend to anybody. Thanks Andrea & Team :)
Pleasant City Centre Hotel
I have a loyalty card for this group and try to stay whenever possible. We had a really nice small room on the top floor, we were upgraded because of the card. Due to COVID, rooms in occupation were not being made up, which was not really an issue. The bed very comfortable and the room and bathroom very clean. We managed to get a deal in the Frenchgate carpark , and paid less than 50% of the daily rate (we discovered later the deal was supposedly only for premier inn clients) However you would imagine that the town would be encouraging visitors at this time. The only down side on the Saturday evening we returned to the hotel twice to find drunks and vagrants sitting on the steps blocking our entrance and unwilling to move being quite abusive when asked to. All in all the social distancing we saw on Saturday evening was very poor indeed.
10 week stay
A 10 week stay in a hotel was not something I was looking forward to, away from family and friends but still working. No socialising, meals in my room, it was quite a lonely thought but ALL the staff at the hotel were so nice, helpful and friendly, they made me feel quite at home and part of their family 😍 My room was always lovely, the food was good and on time... ⌚ 😊 Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to Andrea and your fantastic team.
