Fake advertising and far from the centre

We booked through booking.com a double room for two and when we arrived they told us we booked for a single guest and asked us to pay extra otherwise we will lose the full money as a non-refund. The Hotel is 30 mins far from the centre and no transport around and is fake from whatever on booking. The hotel is not near the beach at all and there's no sea view unless two rooms only which are very expensive and they put you in the back yard. Doesn't worth the money at all and Don't waste your holiday we regret we haven't seen the hotel before booking them. Honestly, everything is completely different from whatever you see on booking. The staff was rude and not helpful to find a solution.
A great hotel with amazing views

Fantastic hotel with awesome staff. Best breakfast and pool area. Seaview rooms are large and have huge balconys with amazing views over the harbour and islands. It’s located a bit out of town which is good and bad. Nice and quiet so you can sleep with everything open. It’s in a suburban area which is great as it isn’t touristy like Split town. Easy downhill walk into town but a bit of a hike back or from the beach. Taxis rip you off for the trip back from town. Initially we paid 150 kuna until we learnt to hassle but none would do it for less than 100 kuna. Quickly learnt to use Uber (50 kuna) but sometimes you have to wait for a bit. Hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend this place.

I have debated whether to post a review because I don't like being negative. Overall we had a really lovely stay here at the beginning of August and there are lots of positives about - the spacious, clean and well appointed rooms, comfy bed, good breakfasts, pleasant waiters, waitresses, lovely pool and staff and a calm, classy vibe. However, I do have 3 niggles. When we arrived to check in we were completely ignored for quite a long time, it was as though we were invisible! There were 3 or 4 people behind the reception desk. One was having a conversation with another guest and the others seemed to be listening or contributing to that conversation. At no point did any of them make eye contact with us, acknowledge we were there, smile or apologise for keeping us waiting. It was very strange. When it was eventually our turn there was no apology, no welcome, not even a smile. We were told, abruptly, that our rooms weren't ready. That in itself wasn't a problem, we could have left our luggage and gone and sat by the pool and had a bite to eat and drink whilst we waited. It quickly turned out that one of our rooms was ready but there was a significant lack of people skills and hospitality. It was the worst hotel welcome I've ever experienced. My second gripe is that I asked at reception if I could have a couple of items of clothing washed. I was told there should be a laundry bag in my room. I said I couldn't see one. I was told there should be one and if there wasn't one I needed to let them know and they would arrange for one to be put in my room. I checked my room again and no bag so went back to reception and said there's no bag. Disappointingly, one never appeared. I didn't make a fuss and managed without the clothes but it wasn't good service. My last complaint is that a letter from our holiday rep was delivered to our room on our last evening!! I went to reception to ask if they could help us find out what time we were getting picked up the next day and pointed out that the letter, dated July, had only just arrived. The gentleman said he hadn't been at work for 4 days and didn't know anything about it but offered to ring the rep for me. He then gave me the phone to speak to her and she said she had hand delivered the letter before our arrival. I didn't make a fuss because it didn't matter too much, though we would probably have joined one of the excursions had we known but by then it was too late, again it was disappointing. I guess we felt that the reception team were the weak link in what is otherwise a fabulous hotel. I should say though that one of the young female receptionists was absolutely lovely giving us lots of restaurant recommendations and with a smile! I haven't written this review lightly and, of course, they are only our experiences which, on balance, wouldn't deter us from staying again. We enjoyed everything else the hotel has to offer 🙂

Had a fabulous stay here for 7 nights and I could not fault a thing. As soon as we arrived (earlier than the room was ready - our fault) the staff were so welcoming, allowing us to use of all the facilities. We headed to the bar and the staff were so friendly, we ate here most nights as the food is tasty and the snack menu for the pool during the day is great. The room was beautiful and very clean, they had everything we needed. The pool area is never overcrowded and the pool is kept so clean, never saw a speck of dirt. I loved this hotel and I hope to return. Thank you Hotel Cvita :).

Best hotel of Split!! The personal are really nice, especially Magda !! I recommend this place to everyone!! Good food, drinks and the room are amazing :) Thank you for this great time !! David from Geneva
