A Gem in St Augustine

Beautiful stay, the views were amazing. It’s perfectly located, just enough to see a little of the chaos but far enough to not be tangled up in the all the people. I really love the fact that they offer hors d'oeuvres in the evening, which was absolutely amazing btw, and the staff is just simply lovely. The breakfast is worth every single bite, and is offered in the stay. This spot is a gem and I will probably only stay here every time I visit St Augustine. I recommend 100%.

There were so many hotels to chose from during our recent St. Augustine Night of Lights vacay, we are delighted with our choice in staying at Marker 8! Hands down better than "other hotels" across the bridge! A little pricey, but the amenities were well worth it! From the moment we checked into Marker 8 until the time we checked out, everything was wonderful. Our balcony room was awesome, the bed was super comfy, the patio furniture was very comfortable and the view was breathtaking. The complimentary homemade breakfast was incredible (something we didn't experience at the Hyatt last month) and social hour was fun and the appetizers were delish. We are blessed to have visited St. Augustine several times (100+) in the past and enjoyed a relaxing rainy day on our balcony. We were so close to downtown yet away from the "hustle and bustle" of the crowds. We will definitely be back to Marker 8!

We had a phenomenal stay here! It is obvious that the staff care and go out of their way to make sure their guests have an excellent experience. The rooms are small but pretty and very comfortable. The balcony views are excellent. Breakfast was included with our stay. It wasn't your typical hotel breakfast. We were waited on and had a choice each morning of chef prepared meals which varied from day to day. It was a lot of food and gave us the fuel we needed to hoof it around St. Augustine all day. It is close to good restaurants - many within walking distance, downtown is just on the other side of the iconic Bridge of Lions, and you can see the lighthouse from the hotel. If we return to St. Augustine, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere but here.

Loved my room, cleaned every day, beautiful view of water and bridge. Everyone made us feel like family. Breakfast was always good and evening appetizers were amazing. We enjoyed talking with the guests that had boats...lots of interesting stories. Short walk over bridge to downtown where all the action was.

Great hotel amazing view! Happy hour was great! Mark was a very good host. Will defiantly be back! The price was a bit high but very worth it. If in the area should defiantly stay there you will be happy you did.
