What a pub?!
Well, what a pub. Tony and Bronwyn are absolute joy. Spent hours playing pool, darts and cards, and then ate the most delicious meal with excellent service. Also very reasonable prices. Couldn't recommend this pub enough. Thank you so so much!!
Gorgeous country pub
My mate & I stayed as a cheap option on the way to the East Coast attractions. The rooms & facilities are spotless, nothing fancy, but cute. The 111 yo pub has some beautiful heritage features such as the verandahs you can access & stained glass windows. The pub meals were spot on & all the staff were so friendly & helpful. The delightful proprietors had a drink with us later in the evening after our evening stroll through a spotless town. St.Mary’s is a bit of a hidden gem featuring great antiques & old wares, cafes & lots of very old houses & trees
Good Value accommodation and food
My wife and I took a slight detour on our east coast road trip to stay at this hotel and bistro/pub for a night in January 2021. At a cost of $90 a night the accomodation was at least 50 dollars cheaper than its competitors on the east coast. The room was clean and large with a shared bathroom. As you can expect it wasn't particularly fancy but neither of us minded. There were about a dozen rooms along the upper floor of the pub with a shared ladies and gents bathroom. Linen was provided There was plenty of parks available on the Main Street. The staff were super friendly, as often is the case in these smaller towns. We had dinner and drinks downstairs. Value once again was fantastic. Taste superb. Full of friendly locals. Overall we had a lovely stay and didn't regret making the detour to St Mary's.
Stayed for dinner in Feb 2020
Peter at Addlestone House b&b recommended the pub for dinner. Had a couple of pre-dinner drinks, including a Guiness on tap (and Tony knows how to pour one - which some pubs around don't). Very friendly. Had a great meal - asked for some reef to asccompany the salamon and whow - 8 prawns turned up! I had a great surg and turf. The chef is terrific. Everyone very friendly and helpful.

We came to this town for a wedding & chose to stay here for convenience & so glad we did. We were a family of 4 & had other family & guests of the wedding staying here too. The pub was just as old style as I’d imagined. The rooms were quite clean & comfortable enough & very affordable, shared bathrooms were clean, all linen supplied & the food in the bistro was SO good 👍
